I have to assume that we are talking about a chain saw if not let me know what kind of product this is. Anyway if it a saw did you accidently trip the brake? if so you need to reset the brake to go around the clutch, sometimes you have to wiggle and finesse the cover to fit on. Look for any debris on the housings that would prevent it from fitting.

Install side cover on 455 rancher with chain break

Problem is you removed side cover with chain brake closed. You must open the chain brake to re-install the cover. You can do it with the handle. Put the side cover into position, put the handle into the fitting on the side cover. push the handle forward until you feel the "3" point connector engage. apply pressure to the handle and pull back until the side chain brake "Pops" open. Your Husqvarna dealer has a tool to open the chain brake if you are unable to get it open. Takes about 5 mins.

Ive removed the cover on the crankcase side in order to change the chain itself. The cover is held in place by two studs. I cleaned the crankcase and then went to fit the chain assmebly and cover back on....

I really can't see the studs falling inside but it sure could drop out. But to make sure and satisfy your curiosity take your saw and shake it, or turn it upside down then right side up and listen for noise to see if it could be inside your saw. Sometimes when you remove the nuts the stud comes with it and you don't think too much of it. I have done that myself. I hope this helps, thanks.

Cant get the metal cynch to cover or fit over the clutch when i put the cover back on after changing the chain

Make sure your inertial brake is not engages before taking the cover off the saw. If you brake is engaged and then you take the cover off the side, sometimes you can get it "close enough" and use the forward brake guard to reset it (like normal) but more often than not you will need to use a screw driver to manual reset the brake on the cover before reinstalling. This can be difficult as you no longer have the added lever of the front handle...

Bar thru the chain, pulled the side cover off with difficulty and now cannot get the side cover back on, appears the roundish bearing on the cover won't go over the round bearing that covers the chain...

I just had the problem of not being able to put the cover back on because the brake wwas engaged when I took it apart. What I did was use a #4 allen wrench and take the brake lever off being careful of the spring on the brake handle. There is a screw on both sides. I then put the cover loosely in a vise, and using the brake handle reset the brake to the correct position. It went back together easily. Probably took me ten minutes.

I have a Cooper R10, PLC, 13Watt 64/4P, Made in China light bulb. We placed the fixture on the exterior of the house to light our back door. The bulb produces a white light. Is there the same product...

Well, I got an email back from Cooper Lighting. They do not sell a yellow bulb for this fixture. HOWEVER, they gave me the specs for the bulb, and by punching those specs into Google, I was able to find a seller on eBay who sells this product.

They want $15.99 plus $6.99 shipping for this 4-pin light bulb that fits my fixtures outside my back door and in front of my garage door.... just because it is yellow (bug light) instead of white. These things are almost impossible to find. However, I refuse to spend that much for a yellow bulb, especially since I need TWO of them (two fixtures), and they cost MORE than the whole fixture did. Instead, I went online and purchased some yellow fluorescent tube guards... the kind you use to put on regular fluorescent tubes to make them appear a different color (they also provide a safety net in case the tube breaks or shatters), and I will cut it to the proper length and place it over the existing bulb to make it yellow. Since the tube is 4 feet long, I will have plenty to make several covers. Problem solved at less than half the price.5_29_2012_10_26_38_pm.jpg

Cant get the cover back on chainsaw

The chain brake should have been released before removing the cover. You will have to release it with a large flat-blade screwdriver in the connector that runs the brake from the control handle. Hope this helps!
