Question about Compaq Armada E500 Notebook
I currently have Windows XP Professional running on it and I found an old Ethernet Adapter, Xircom CreditCard Ethernet II Adapter (CE2, PS-CE2-10) to be exact and I'm having a tough time connecting it to my home wireless network. See when I plug the card it recognizes it as a network device and attempts to get a connection but always fails and says it has limited to no connectivity. But what I'm confused about is that it doesn't actually search for any networks. So my question is, is this old laptop even capable of getting a wireless connnection and should I just get a new card or is the laptop simply unable to make wireless connections?
any laptop has the capability to use wireless connection, if you connect to that laptop a compatible wireless card and install its drivers( the cd/dvd that comes with the wireless card)
to check if this card is ok or not try using it on some other laptop see if it works there and gets the networks
