Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
I'm trying to narrow down the problem before I tear the tv apart. The timer light blinks green for about half a minute, then I can turn it on and hear sound out the speakers, but the lamp never turns on. I think maybe a power surge fried something, but I do hear the fan coming on. Is there maybe a fuse that's replaceable?
1- Did you make sure you have the lamp door on correctly, there's a safety switch that activates and wont let the lamp light for your protection.
2- Put your ear close to the lamp door and listen for a slight hum as soon as you turn it on, it will go in cycles. If you don't, it's going to be the ballast module or the color wheel, both these have to be working to let the lamp light. I suggest you call a service center after that, that's the best thing.
