Heater turns off frequently.

-   I have the same problem, but I believe I know what caused it. I have a 100 pound Rottweiler that loves to lay by the heater. He lays right up against it, cutting off the air flow at the bottom. I would pull him away, turn around, and a few minutes later he'd be right back against it. After a few months of that going on all the time, the heater started going into shutdown mode from 30 seconds to a few minutes after if was turned on. I don't know the cure, but I'm thinking that it has something to do with it overheating. Comments? -   Guest

-   same issue. my heater is a small 450 watt holmes space heater and won't last 30 seconds at any level before turning itself off. -   Guest
