My 1975 f-350 has a charging problem .I need an under standing of how my truck is wired .so i can fix it can you help?

My phone are not keeping charge


Either you need to replace the rechargable batteries or the contacts on the charger are not touching the contacts on the phone. As the battery gets old they do not keep as charge as well and will eventually not charge up.

If the battery is good and the phone is properly seated in the charging stand then most likely a wire in the charging stand has come loose from the charging stand contacts inside the phone somewhere. Have someone who knows what they are doing fix it (solder the wire back on to the contact)

Lastly, the phone or charging circuit could just be dead...zapped by lightning or static discharge from owner when they pick it up to answer it.

1987 labaron 2.2 turbo not charging


The computer doesn't have any voltage regulator in it, the regulator is a stand alone unit under the hood on the firewall I think. A picture of your cars voltage regulator is below, is that what you replaced?

Replacing alternator


Instructions
    • Remove the negative battery cable from the battery by loosening the 8 mm terminal bolt until you can pull the cable from the battery. Position the cable so that it can not accidentally make contact with the battery terminal.
    • 2Apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels using wheel chocks. Raise the front of the Escape until the wheels are off the ground and position jack stands under the front sub-frame.
    • 3
    • Remove the serpentine drive belt rotating the tensioner arm counterclockwise until the belt can be slipped from the pulley. Allow the belt to drop onto the remaining pulleys.
    • 4Slide under the vehicle and unplug the electrical connector plugged into the back of the alternator. Unbolt the main charging cable by removing the 13 mm nut that attaches it to the charging stud on the back of the alternator. Remove the 10 mm bolts that attach the alternator to the engine and lower the alternator to the ground.
    • 5Bolt the new alternator into place on the engine and torque the attaching bolts to 35 ft-lbs. using a torque wrench. This prevents distortion of the alternator housing, caused by over-tightening, and premature alternator failure. Attach the charge cable to the charge stud and tighten the 13 mm nut to 18 ft-lbs. to prevent damage to the internal wiring.
    • 6Remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle to the ground. Reinstall the serpentine belt, and reconnect the battery cable. Start the engine and confirm that the alternator is charging.

How do you change o2 sencer on 1999 intrepid


The 1999 Dodge Intrepid uses two oxygen sensors, one on each of the two exhaust manifolds. Determine which oxygen sensor is faulty before changing the sensors by having the computer in your Intrepid scanned for codes. Most major auto parts retailers will scan the computer free of charge on the hope that you will buy the parts needed from them. If you need to replace both of the oxygen sensors, the process is the same for both sides so you can just repeat it after the first one is complete.

    Raise the front of your Intrepid with a jack and support the car with a set of jack stands positioned under the frame. Remove the jack from under the car and out of the way for now.

    Locate the oxygen sensor from under the car. Looking up into the engine compartment--the sensor is on the outboard side of the exhaust manifold pointing out toward the fender. This location is the same for both oxygen sensors, just on opposite sides of the car.

    Locate the wiring harness connector by following the wiring pigtail from the sensor down the wires until you see the connector. Lift the locking tab slightly on the connector and separate the two halves of the connector. Lay the wires aside and return to the oxygen sensor.

    Turn the oxygen sensor counter-clockwise with an oxygen sensor socket and ratchet until it is loose, then remove it from the exhaust pipe. Discard the old sensor and thread the new oxygen sensor into the exhaust pipe by hand to start with. This will help avoid cross threading the sensor and exhaust pipe.

    Tighten the oxygen sensor to 20 ft.lbs. with a torque wrench and oxygen sensor socket. Plug the wiring pigtail from the new sensor into the wiring harness connector on the car. Push the two halves together until the locking tab engages and the halves are secure.

    Repeat the process for the other sensor if you are changing both. Raise the front of your Intrepid off the jack stands with a jack, remove the stands from under the car and lower the car to the ground.

    The batteries in my mother in laws Jet 3 are about 6 months old and charge up to nearly 13 volts,but the travel is now about one third the distance that it should travel bfore losing charge. what should...


    If you have someone do a load test on her batteries I'm sure they will find one weak battery that does not stand up under the load. Make sure that the batteries are fully charged before they do the load test and if one or both of the batteries drop more than a volt and a half under load then they must be replaced Most batteries are under warranty for 6 months lets hope you made it under the wire. Now if Medicare paid for her chair then they will pay for a set of new batteries contact the provider where she got her chair for repair Hope this helps

    Where is the starting motor on a renualt scenic 1997 petrol ?


    Hi,
    It is under the hood.
    You only have 1 motor there that has diameter about 13-15 cm. It has no belt but big wires that can stand to about 300 amperes. It is usually located near the flying wheel on back or side on your engine. The motor under the hood that has belt is called alternator that charge you battery.

    it helps if you can lift or jack up the vehicle. be sure & use jack stands. it should be above oil filter on engine block under exhaust manifold. look for a sensor with one bolt holding it on. also check for frayed wires rubbing on cv shaft. sometimes all they need is fix one frayed wire

    Are you putting the wire on real good. If so, try buying a Di-Electric grease. Use this grease in the boots of the wires on both ends, also under any coil pack or on a distributor cap. This keeps moisture and rain out causing the skips,

    2 of my fuel tank straps fell off and are dragging


    yes it's a relatively easy fix.
    First you'll need to remove the broken straps then put the tank back in place and support it with some jack stands(check the wires and fuel lines before you put the tank in place) Now start the car and check for leaks. If it won't start make sure the tank level and that it has fuel in it. If that's ok then you'll need to do some more checking with the wiring for the fuel pump. Now you will want to install the new straps and remove your jack stands.
