Quantaray 5.6 Digital Photo Frame not working properly

My Quantaray 5.6 Digital Photo Frame seems to be "spazzing out" on me when I insert my flash drive full of pictures. I've been inserting the flash drive via the usb port then selecting the usb icon on the main page. It displays a page of thumbnails then suddenly they all disappear and start flashing rappidly as if its stuck or frozen. I managed to save 2 to favorites and disconnected the flash drive. I am able to get the 2 favorites to view properly but NONE of my settings I change seem to take effect. I set it to display each photo for 30 mins and selected a transition. When I finish up and then go to favorites a slide show begins but the photo changes every few seconds. I can't seem to understand what is wrong with it, I've followed the directions to a tee and I'm beginning to wonder if its just a piece of ****.

I don't believe they came with memory cards. You need to insert your own memory chip into the frame. The connection points should be on the sides of the frame or in back. You should see slots & perhaps a USB port. Let me know what you find.

On the opening frame when you turn it on Scroll through the icons to "setup" . Press enter.. A screen will come up sayinf "set up menu-photo setting"..Scroll down the left column to the center multi color icon and press enter. Press the right arrow on the handheld. In the grey box that comes up you will see various controls.. The third on the list is "brightness" . Press enter and then right arrow .. Scroll to setting you desire. (Normal, bright or soft are offered).. Good luck..
I also posted a question that you may know the answer to. How do I load photos on to the unit from my computer. I see there is a USB port on the Sunpak and I have a USB port on my computer .. but no cord with 2 USB port ends?

Quantaray QTB-9500A with Canon Xsi not working properly

This is probably way too late for the original asker, but the previous answer is incorrect.

The Quantaray QTB-9500A is in reality a ProMaster FTD-5700 and was designed for use with later model electronic 35mm AF models (using the correct dedication module).

As such, the trigger voltage is no higher than 5v making it safe for use on later digital SLR's.

The original answerer is clearly aware that high trigger voltages on flashes designed for earlier, mostly mechanical, 35mm film cameras are often harmful to later models, but you need not worry about your model.

Quantaray QDC-NK i TTL Digital Flash Module

The Quantaray Digital NK Module has a small tab on the side of the raised boss that the 8 pins sit on that prevents it from mounting on the QTB-9500A. It's intentional- the NK Digital Module is made for newer Quantaray flashes only. You'll need the older-style AF NK Module to attach to the QTB-9500A.

Digital Picture Frame

This is not designed to plug into your computer. The device has no memory to store photos or music. You have to copy your photos onto a USB thumb drive or a NON SD memory card.

Trutech digital photo frame

Most digital photo frames do not have internal memory and require external media to be plugged in permanently. Only the expensive ones have there own memory and usually not a lot.

Get an SD card and move your photos to it, that way you won't need to have the USB drive sticking out of the frame. That's if the frame has an SD slot.
