1 Answer

I want to enable AUX function, but pressing the function button doesn't bring that option around? Would disconnecting the power reset things?

I have a Pioneer DEH-P5200 and i plugged the aux chords in the back to my ipod but dont know how to switch to the aux mode on radio...

OK - had the same problem and got it finally figured out. Power the unit on the ignition key. Press and hold the source button so the unit shuts off. With the unit shut off press and hold the function button (the key is to hold the function button down) The clock, aux etc will show on the screen. Press (but do not hold) the function button and it will move to each function. When you get to the AUX press the ^ button and the will switch the AUX to "on". Once you know, like everything else, it's pretty easy.

Need a manual- Pioneer DEH-P440

ok, i dug up my old manual and i guess i was wrong,

straight from the book:
1 Press FUNCTION to select AUX.
Press FUNCTION repeatedly until AUX appears
in the display.
2 Select AUX on or off with ^/v.
Pressing ^/v will switch AUX between on and
off and that status will be displayed (e.g.,
AUX :ON).

and as for t-scan: T-Scan play lets you hear the first 10 seconds of each track on the CD.

Pioneer KEH-P4830R connection to AUX source

Hi. Sorry, I can't actually solve this one for you but was hoping you may be able to look in the manual and let me know which model number CD changers are compatible with this headunit. We don't have the manual and so far have been unable to find the answer anywhere so your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Lee

Aux for ipod

Make sure this is connected to an Aux Input and NOT an output. You did not mention what manufacturer you have for a head unit, so I'll take a guess.
Is is Pioneer? If so, with the radio off, you'll need to either hold down the "source" button or the "func" button. Scroll to the "AUX 1" or "AUX 2" function and then change it from "off" to "on". Then press source and it should be active.
If it is another brand, you'll need to do a similar process of going into the set-up menu and turn on the aux function. This should enable the feature.
Other than that, the operation manual for your radio can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
Hope this was helpful.

My Aux-in wont work

did you turned aux function?

turn off your player by pressing and holding volume controler.
press and hold longer (~5 sec) it again to turn it on (you should see 'tuner' in the lcd).
push up arrow to select aux and right/left to turn it on.

now you can connect your ipod and select aux (as ussual switching between tuner/cd player/aux)

cheers :)

Finding the AUX button

With the stereo on, hold your Source button to turn the stereo off.

The hold the function button, a menu will appear, press function repeatedly until you see the Aux setting, and you will have an option to enable it with the navigation keys.

Once done press your source button to turn the stereo back on, and then go through the varioud sources and ye shall now find Aux as an additional source ;o)

Aux port doesn't show; Button is Stuck

Hello,

I don't know if you have figured out how to turn the AUX port on yet, but I just figured it out. First, turn the CD Player off by quickly pushing the "Source" button. This is also the volume knob. Then, after the player is off, hold down the "Source" button. This will bring up the initial setup. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the options. One of the options is to turn the AUX port on. Once this is finished, turn the unit back on and you're ready to go.
