Honda gx390 has low power.

Well it sounds like you may need new piston rings or an engine rebuild due to low compression. But a good way to tell if you need an engine rebuild is to test the compression and see if it is up to spec. You can often just feel that the engine is very easy to turn over which is a good sign that you need a rebuild.

Honds 5 horse engine on a troy built power washer, need to add pump oil. how do I do this?

There should be a little wondow on the side of the pump body to show you the oil level and a oil filler cap on the top of the pump body . There should also be a drain on the bottom of the water pump this is not the engine its the water pump . It will take 10 -30 or 30 wieght oil check your manual or local dealer for your specific pump oil requirements . But if you use it often change it don't add and do the engine oil tothis is the biggest killer of pumps and engines and pumps nelgeliting oil changes also eighter drain all water from the pump or winterize in freezeing temputers

13 horse Honda presure washer (landa) won't start. Been sitting for several years. Checked plug which looks new.. Maybe wrong one? Will sypone old gas and replace. What about plug, fuel filter and air...

you can try and remove the old gas the carburetor and perhaps the fuel filter are most likly fouled with gunk from the old gas. When gas sits, over time it forms a thick gummy deposit that can clog carburetors, and anything else. try fresh gas with some carburetor cleaner (NOT the kind in the spray can) mixed in. It may need to have the carburetor rebuilt or replaced.

Most likely you are haveing a problem with the water valves inside of the pump. Honda does not make pumps they make the engines and if you have a honda engine its the best engine for powerwashers . S o what you need to do is look at the pump and see who made the thing . If its a simpsion or a cat pump these bolth are vary good pumps . It could be a miti m pump there ok but tend to have problems with the valveing . The kits are cheap enough for all of them about 60 or 70 dollars . So let me know how many horse power the engine is and what kind of pump you have and the gal pr munite aswell as the max pressure out put of the mechine how old is it and ware did you buy it Most of this information will be on a metal tag on the water pump or the frame of the mechine. A nd i'll tell you if its worth saveing Pier_j

I have an Excell model XR2600 pressure washer that will not start. I have had it stored for 3 years. I drained the gas tank and carb and put in fresh gas. Is there a fuel shutoff on this model ? It has a...

If it's been sitting for 3 years most likely the carb is gummed up. If it's getting spark, you could try a small shot of starting fluid into the carb. If it runs on this you know it's a fuel problem. Best bet would get all the MOTOR data, and buy a carb kit from you local lawn and garden equipment parts supplier. . Remove carburator and clean and install kit. Use sta-bil when you put it away next time, but even that only works about a year or so.

Their is an oil level sensor that lasts around 3 months of use. unplugging it would solve your problem But replacing it is a night mare. and if your oil runs out It's all over. if not the oil sensor, and your spark is constant Check your fuel system for water and debrie. Those pumps can run dry all day long.
