Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook

6 Answers

Hello, I am using the Vista Home Premium system. The ither day I accidently began to uninstall the network adapter Realtek RTL8168/8111 Tamily PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC(NDIS 6.0). I immediately tried to cancel the uninstall but it seems that the device has been damaged for the message that comes up when it is clicked in Device Manager reads "This device cannot start (Code 10)". Can you help me repair or replace this device? Thanks. Ian Drost

The adapter is not damaged, you get this message because you need to install again the driver for your network card.

Click below, chose your model and follow instructions to reinstall the drivers.

There is a small problem in finding the right drivers for you.

It appears you have selected the wrong laptop model.

I will need you to send me the right laptop model from the bottom of the laptop and also get me the device PNP ID from msinfo32

Hold down the windows key, and press R then the run menu comes up. Write in msinfo32 and press ok.

Open components from the side and then open problem devices.
Hello, - 63e105c.jpg
Please post me all the details you see in problem devices so I can locate the right driver for you.

thanks.

The bes tthing to do is to re-install the software for it.. if you do not have the disk for it then you can download the driver software from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

and that should get you up and running again with no other problems.. the error code is there because like it says there it cannot start it does not mea nthat the hardware is damaged

Try a restore that brings you computer back to date a few days prior to the accident. this should reinstate the computer but there is always.

Compaq Presario F700 Windows Vista Home Premium My Network Card has stopped detecting wireless connections and tells me there is no network adapter installed. It was working then stopped several days...

If you can use the cable connection
you can search for a new driver for the lan card for vista here:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&tool=&query=F700+#N284

Try using the auto detect function it will tell what model
you have.To get the right driver.

Also try use the microsoft update function
in your start button.

Hope this was helpfull.

Internet Explorer cannot display webpage. I have a Dell Laptop Studio 1500 Home premium with Vista x64 bit.

Hi,

This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings, but before you perform this remove power from the modem and router for 2 minutes reconnect power and wait another 2 minutes for them to settle down.

Right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless adapter and "uninstall" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again. Also please remember to turn on the switch or use a keyboard toggle to turn on the wireless radio.

If the connection is wired just uninstall the network driver.

Good luck
