Online access problems are hard to diagnose. There are so many settings on either your modem, router, wireless device, and at your provider's end that could be the problem. Invite a geek for a beer to fix it.
This appears to be your computer problem rather than internet problem! If you are getting 15mb/sec that means there is nothing wrong with internet speed or the router. Also check speed on www.speedtest.net you can also do ping test on this site to make sure its not internet!
Widows 7 enterprise edition higher memory recommended you will be better off with windows XP!
1394 is NOT your Network adapter... you need to go to device manager and look there for any "Network Adapter" then right click and "Update Drivers". Your network card will have a "Name" or say PCI network device or the like. Thats the driver you need to find and install. Hopefully it is on your drive somewhere.
your nic card could be on board and part of the board which doesn't come out. if so just make sure you have an extra PCI slot on your board and go to a computer place and buy one.
If there is a Walmart over there you can get one there for about $20 or more. Try to make sure that it will install the drivers with your operating system. Other wise if it doesn't come with a cd you may have to download from the net.
this should solve your problem.
you could buy a USB type also. Office supply stores around $40.
i hope u re install your operating system,
after the re installation u did not install the drivers that is the reson, best way u buy an ethernet card and try to get net connection and down load the drivers from dell.com ,then remove the card ,thats it.
You will need to see if you can find Vista drivers for the two devices. If you are not sure where to look for the drivers you can download the Unknown Devices program which will give you specific chipset information that will allow you to search the internet for the drivers.
