TV turns on cold fine runs good after that.. if you have tv on, and turn it off you have to wait atleast 5 min for it to come back on,if you try to turn on too early it clicks on then clicks back off... help appreciated not sure (replaced IC's and 2200mf caps at back of standby pwr supply)
If you tap it on the back of tv and stars on/off that meens there is cold soldering on the board. You need to resolder the board especially solder all ICs pins.Make sure no shorts you have made after soldering.

Unplug the tv. take off the back panel. vacuum or blow out the dust with a can of compressed air (@ $3 at Staples). A lot of the projection tvs had a thermal sensor which would turn the tv off if it got to hot.
That is also a good time to clean the lenses. Be careful not to move them out of alignment. My tv worked like new after I did those things.
This is cause of a power interuption. Try unpluging the TV from the wall, and waiting several min. Then plug it back up, wait serveral min again and the green light should stop blinking. Then turn it on.
Going through bulbs that quickly would indicate to me a problem with the ballast or smps (switch mode power supply). It's not something you want to just run out and replace (expensive).. Call a reputable shop and tell them what you're experiencing.
I do know that they should check the value of C1330 in ballast circuit. If it is a .22uf, There is an upgrade kit available for it, panasonic p/n# LSUC0022
Power supply or sweep suppys have parts that are overheating and breaking down or cold solder connections. Call someone who knows this set like the local authorized magnavox/Phillips dealer/servicer. Good Luck
