My screen has accidently turned sideways. How can I get it back to normal? I don't know what I touched to cause this.

My visiting friend's Inspiron (model #?) is having the same problem with visible screen rotated 90 degrees to the left, yet the 'ALT, CNTRL, UP Arrow solution doesn't work. Alternative solutions welcome. Thanks. (fortunately I am able to ask this on my MAC, working just fine. G! wink)

Press and hold both the ALT and CTRL button to the right of the space bar. While holding these 2 keys down, press the UP arrow key.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Screen on Dell Inspiron 6000 turned sideways. How

Power off the laptop.
Power it on and tap F2 at the Dell logo. check if the screen is sidways in the BIOS or not. If it looks normal in the BIOS restart the computer and go to control panel and uninstall the Video drivers. Restart the computer. It will boot up with basic drivers. Install the video drivers and the issue should be fixed.
If the display is side ways even in the BIOS try a BIOS update from support.dell.com and if you dont have an update reflash the BIOS with teh version availbale on the website.

I hit a button or something and it made my toshiba computer into a tablet or somthing. i dont know how to make it go back into a normal mode. its toshiba a215

Is your screen sideways or upside down? If so, use this:

Just like a ctrl-alt-del except
press ctrl-alt-up arrow
ctrl-alt-down arrow flips it upside down.
ctrl-alt-left and right arrows will rotate the screen sideways.
