Question about IBM 300PL (PC 300 PL 733) PC Desktop
The problem I have is that my USB ports quit working. In my Bios it says thatthey are Ok, but for some reason, they do not work.
Can anyone helpme on this issue.
The Folowing soultion is for Windows XP operating system
Unfortunately there are MANY reasons why a USB controller stops working. The 1st place I wwould look is in the Device manager.
Go to your start button ~~> Control panel ~~> double click system ~~> Select Hardware tab ~~select device manager button and look for universal serial bs controllers toward bottom of list ...
If it is expanded then you have an issue a yellow ! icon means there is a driver error a red X means that it is disabled
to fix the yellow ! double click the problem driver or controller reinstall the usb driver
to fix a red X right click the problem driver or controller with the mark and select enable
Best of luck with the issue
if all else fails you always have the option of purchasing A USB PCI card that can be added into one of your internal available PCI slots.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
