You can order a replacement battery by going to their website:

You have to put in your model information to get the right battery.

I have a shark cordless sweeper modelv1950 bought about 4 months ago and seems to start well and suddenly stops functioning. I know battery must be changed every 9- to 12 months. I wondering the battery is the problem?

Phone Number for Shark is 1-800-798-7398 or you can check out "www.sharkclean.com". I just phoned to get a replacement battery for my Cordless Sweeper - Model # V1725QC. They will also ask you for the DATE CODE that is stamped on the bottom so you get the right battery. Price was $16.95 for the battery and the total is $22.90 (cdn). I should receive the battery in 7-10 business days (so I was told). It is being shipped from Quebec to BC.

Keeps stopping even though I have taken it apart and checked for blockages. +

Are you sure your wall charger is working ok? You might just have a bad battery pack in the sweeper if your charger is working. Do you have a friend who knows electronics and has a voltmeter?

If so, have them check the voltage output of the charger at the plug that goes into the sweeper. Verify that the charger is indeed working ok. Then you will need to check the voltage on the battery pack inside the sweeper to see if your battery is good and holding a charge. A mechanical blockage could be something caught in the vacuum fan blade. You should be able to hold the main part of the sweeper up to your ear so you can hear and then pull the sweeper trigger and see if you can hear the motor try to start. Nothing happening may mean a dead battery pack. Regards, Dennis

Trying to get batterys for shark rechargable sweeper model #v1725QC 4.8Vdc I'am located in london ontario canada can I get batters locally?

I have a Shark Cordless Sweeper that needs a new battery too. (Model V1725QC 4.8V) I Googled around and finally gave up and phoned the number on the bottom of the Cordless Sweeper. No problem. The lady did ask me for the "DATE CODE" that is stamped in the silver part on the bottom of the sweeper. The number was 4608 (not easy to read). The battery cost is $16.95 and with Shippling the total came to $22.90. I should receive it in about 7-10 business days. It will be coming from Quebec to BC so that is the total Canadian Price. All model info is on the bottom. The Phone number is on the bottom of your Cordless Sweeper in white lettering on the black plastic towards the rear. The Phone Number is 1-800-798-7398. I hope this will help some other people. Just phone them - best to stick with the Shark Company batteries and they are not easy to find otherwise. No fuss, no muss when I called. No problem ... just gotta wait now. You can also try "www.sharkclean.com" ...

I have a Shark Euro Sweeper, and it doesn't hold it's charge. I only use it a matter of a few minutes and already the green light turns to orange. I was told it would hold a charge for 30 minutes. So...

I assume you've had the cleaner for a while and your battery is dying. Batteries can only be recharged a finite number of times and they also suffer from "memory loss" due to not being fully discharged before recharging.

Basically, you need a new battery. I'm not sure of your location, so I can't recommend a local supplier, however they are available from the manufacturer's website:

http://www.sharkclean.com/cgi-bin/livew/site.w?location=b2c/parts.w&itemCateg=01&frames=no&target=main&sponsor=000006

I can't give you a price as I don't know your exact model. but it should be about US$15-20. If you call the manufacturer, they may be able to give you details of a local supplier and an RRP.

Hope this helps.

Shark model V1700Z The handle broke off at the

Look it up online. I found a place that charges 7.95 for the part & 6.99 shipping. Get the Model # off the bottom. Mine is V1700Z. And look it up that way on Google or Bing. I think it's listed online as EuroPro.
My servers love this little baby, but they keep breaking that little piece. I understand that the rechargible batteries may wear out in a year, but I have yet to have a handle base last that long.
A Bissel sweeper costs more, clogs faster & does not do as nice of a job. so even if I have to replace it 2x a year, it's not a total, loss
