Question about IBM ThinkPad 770 Notebook
I recently bought this used and all it will let me do is enter the date and time then the screen goes blank besides a few numbers at the top.My dvd drive will not work either.I have it plugged in with the ac adpter and I notice the flashing battery symbol always says 0%..Could this be the problem?? I'm clueless.
Take the battery out and see if the system works on AC only. Sounds like you need to reinstall the OS and you may have an issue with the thinkpad not keeping the time and date. This is related to the other battery called the CMOS battery. This keeps your date and time accurate when the system is turn off.
I hope this helps. Thanks, please rate.
