I believe its pressing heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal keys withing 6 seconds. There should be a tech sheet attached to the toe panel at the bottom front of the machine.

Try the instructions listed at this site. If the problem still occurs after the reset it is usually the heater element that might be faulty.

What does it mean when my clean light blinks but I cannot cancel or reset it

Ah, the famous (or infamous) Clean-light blinking problem. Watch that blinking light.... Does it blink 7 times, pauses, and repeats? Or does it blink 3 times (or some other number). The most common problem is 7 blinks which means "water not heating error". This could be caused by a bad heating element, a bad thermal cutoff, a bad controller.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. This is a problem that haunts most techs. It is not sensing a rise in water temps. We find moving the door switches positions just move the one from the right to the left and vise versa dont unplug them just switch them. It can be a failed heating element also and if you order the element i believe it comes with a new control. But try the switch flip flop before replacing the element.sometimes the door latch dont hit both switches and the one it misses is the one that powers the element so switching them around fixes these some times.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

Kenmore dishwasher clean light blinks

The computer needs to be reset. you may need to check the tech sheet that should have come with the dishwasher ( usually behind the toe panel) for directions on reseting it. If you cannot find the reset directions, let me know, I will have to look it up. thank you.

Clean llight blinks, owner manual said to replace

Hi,

The clean light blinking is due to a fault in heating the water, it could be several other things than the heat element. Here is a link to some instructions on how to reset the control so you can use the dishwasher, it also has a list of things that could have caused the not heating situation. Let me know if you have questions.

Reset control panel

If the clean light blinks 7 times and pauses, you have a problem within heat circuit, inspect the element for cracks or breaks. The actual door latch could be out of alignment also find the latch and bend it downward ever so slightly to assure good connection at door switches. To clear code push hitemp-airdry-hitemp-airdry,this will allow you to run cycle if code comes back, you may need servicer.

Clean light will not go out

If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Light flashing

reset the dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal let it run through that cycle then through a normal cycle got the error blink again. Reset dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal, ran the test cycle, next ran a normal cycle but turned off the heated dry. This allowed the dishwasher to run through a complete cycle did not get the error blink and confirmed that the heating element was out.

Does not go thru dry cycle, clean light blinks 7 times

clean light blinking is a tricky problem to find and cure can be a few different issues.heres an edited down version of official manufacture explaination, its been an issue (I would call manu for assisstance in repairing this further)
A heater fault detection program has been added to the electronic control to check for temperature rise and shut down dish washer. If the temperature rise is less than the criteria, then the unit will drain and blink the clean light 7 times. The Proper incoming water temperature should be between 120°- 140° F.
Possible causes of insufficient temperature rise would include wires off at thecontrol, heating element, thermistor, inlet valve, door switch, motor or capacitor, failure of any of the above components or siphoning of the water during fill.
