Either the computer chip in your key is corrupted and isn't recognized by the ignition switch, and therefore your anti-theft system is preventing the engine from starting. OR Your ignition switch is in need of replacement. Either way, the anti-theft system thinks you're trying to steal your own car.

SOURCE: 1994 camry won't keep running

does the car have an auto start, if so this could be the problem, like a possible malfunction. And yes it would be a security problem. With auto starts there is a small switch installed so you can turn it off, or reset it. Maybe try and find the switch and turn it off. If the problem stops and you can drive it i would look at replacing or repairing the auto start

HAVE A PRESTIGE APS686T REMOTE START ON A2003 FORD FOCUS.HAD 2 NEW KEYS PROGRAMMED. THE REMOTE START FLASHES MY THEFT LIGHT AND WILL NOT START. HOW DO I PROGRAMM THE PRESTIGE TO MY KEYS.

When you had the new keys programmed, the bypass was erased. More than likely, it was a key. Try this: put the first of the two new keys into the ignition, turn the ignition on. The theft light will light up, then go off. Immediately remove the key and put the second key into the ignition. Turn the ignition on, the theft light will come. When the theft goes out remote start the vehicle with the remote, quickly remove the key from the ignition. If the vehicle starts let it run for a few seconds and then shut the remote starter down with the brake. Wait a few seconds before testing the system.
If the above programming does not work the first time, try it again. It may take a few attempts because the process is time sensitive. You CANNOT allow too much time to pass between switching the keys.

Your alarm may have lost the tach signal, that was learned to it, when it was originally installed. That would cause the remote start to try starting the vehicle over and over again, until it finally stays running, because it can't read the engine speed to know it's running.
If you can find the valet push button switch in your vehicle, try this; Start your car with the key and immediately after it starts, press and hold that valet push button switch until the alarm led on the dash stays lit up or the park lights flash. Then, release the valet switch, shut the car off and try remote starting it. That is the procedure to re-learn the tach signal. Hope it works for you.

I have a Astro Start Car Starter and after the 15 minutes of running when the car stops the head lights stay on and then the battery goes dead if i dont check it.

First, why are you allowing the remote start timer to run down and not go to your car??????

simple solution is to open and close your drivers door.

advanced solution is to use a relay to break the automatic headlights under the remote start condition and reconnect when remote start is off
