Question about Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Cell Phone
Hey, I tried the usual way of Hard Resetting by pressing the left and right buttons and turning it on. But instead of on-screen instructions, the LED notification blinks green for a moment, and the phone starts in regular mode. I am trying a hard reset because I forgot the password of my phone. I need help.
With the phone on
1. Start with the phone off, to do it press Power button.
2. Press and hold both the left and right Action buttons under the display.
3. Press the Power button while the others 2 keys are still held.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions as the phone immediately begins the Factory reset process.
I hope this helps :)

The phone needs to be hard reset. The only way to perform a reset on the phone is to download the Sony Ericsson update centre from their website onto a pc, connect your phone to the pc via a USB cable and perform the reset through the software which you downloaded.

No way of finding out how many times the wrong code has been entered but...
You can still unlock the phone by using
software and your data cable that you got with your handset.
You will need to pay for some credits for the software to unlock your phone and your computer needs to be connected to the internet whilst it does it.
It's worth looking around for different prices too. I looked for a c902 and found prices ranging from £25 to £7 after you work out the exchange rate from Dollars to Sterling.
$40 is the starting price see how low you can find it. :)

SOURCE: How do i reset unlock
Okay well if you had the unlock code, that would work. Otherwise you need to do a hard reset. Keep in mind that a hard reset will remove the lock, but it also erases all of your content on the phone. It will be set back to factory original settings. The best wait to do so...
To do the hard reset:
2--LAUNCH THE SOFTWARE
4--PRESS PHONE REPAIR
6--WAIT FOR THE SOFTWARE TO DOWNLOAD FILE ONLINE
7--SELECT THE MODEL X10
8--CONNECT PHONE WHILE HOLDING BACK BUTTON AND INSERT USB
9-- LET THE DRIVERS INSTALL AND WAIT WHILE THE FLASHING COMPLETE
ALL DONE PASSWORD REMOVED
