Make sure you have the new drivers from nVidia and then go to windows and get the latest DirectX 9.0 or above drivers.

A list of compatible Graphics cards for an AGP8X Motherboard.

Due to text length contraits I've had to seperate AGP8X Graphics Cards from PCI Express Graphics Cards

Having trouble finding out exactly which Graphics card will work in your AGP8X motherboard? The following list displays all the compatible Graphics cards for an AGP8X motherboard in decending order (Top Graphics cards are faster than bottom ones in each catagory)

If your Motherboard supports AGP 8X then here is a list of compatible Nvidia cards.
GeForce 6 Series - (GeForce 6200, GeForce 6600GT, GeForce 6600 and GeForce 6600 LE)
GeForce FX Series - (GeForce FX 5950 Ultra, GeForce FX 5900 Ultra, GeForce FX 5900, GeForce FX 5900 XT, GeForce, GeForce FX 5700 Ultra, GeForce FX 5700, GeForce FX 5700LE, GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, GeForce FX 5200 and GeForce FX 5500)
GeForce 4 Series - (GeForce 4 Ti and GeForce 4 MX)GeForce 3 Series - (GeForce 3, GeForce 3 Ti 500 and GeForce 3 Ti 200)
GeForce 2 Series - (GeForce 2 Ultra, GeForce 2 Ti, GeForce 2 Pro, GeForce 2 GTS and GeForce 2 MX series)
GeForce 256 Series - (All)

If your Motherboard supports AGP 8X then here is a list of compatible ATI/AMD cards.
ATI Radeon X Series - (ATI Radeon X1050, ATI Radeon X1300, ATI Radeon X1550, ATI Radeon X1600 and ATI Radeon X1650)
ATI Radeon 9xxx Series - (ATI Radeon 9550)

UPGRADE of CPU and graphics card in HP Pavillion 9000?

The HP Pavilion dv97072ea Notebook PC?

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3308945&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

Nope.
Doesn't use the MXM technology, with using a separate graphics ->adapter card.
The graphics chipset (GPU) is soldered directly to the motherboard. (GPU on a small circuit board, that is)
It's Integrated Graphics,

http://www.ascendtech.us/hp-434659-001-dv9000-laptop-motherboard_i_mbhp434659001lm.aspx

Scroll the page down to the larger photos.

The Nvidia GeForce GO 7600 mobile graphics chipset, is the darker OD green circuit board. (Generally speaking)
In the views you are looking at the TOP of the motherboard.

You see the white rectangular Processor socket, with the square hole in the middle.
Next to it is a green square circuit board, and next to that is the darker, Olive Drab green square circuit board, that is the Nvidia GeForce GO 7600 graphics chipset.
{Circuit board and GPU, is referred to now as the graphics chipset.
That is why I stated - Generally speaking, above }

[GPU,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU ]

You can see the Nvidia GeForce GO7600T chipset, and circuit board, more clearly here,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-new-nVIDIA-GeForce-GF-GO7600T-N-B1-GPU-BGA-IC-Chipset-with-Balls-/190698089722?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c667decfa

It's mounted to the motherboard with a BGA surface mount.
Ball Grid Array.

To explain the Ball Grid Array surface mount, simply;

In the photo of the chipset in the Ebay link above, you are looking at a green square circuit board, with an Nvidia 7600 GO, mobile graphics chipset, in the middle. You are looking at a TOP view.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Nvidia_graphics_processing_units#GeForce_Go_7_.28Go_7xxx.29_series

The GPU ->Nvidia GeForce GO 7600, is mounted to the green circuit board.
The bottom of the green circuit board has Solder Balls.

The Solder Balls take the place of Contact Pins.
(Contact pins, such as on the bottom of an Intel Pentium 4 processor, that uses a Socket 478 processor socket)

On the motherboard are matching Copper Pads.
(The copper pads are coated with a gold plating)

The Nvidia graphics chipset is set down on the motherboard, with the Solder Balls lining up on the matching Copper Pads.
Heat is then applied at a specific temperature, and length of time.

This action makes the solder balls melt, and solders the Nvidia GeForce GO 7600 to the copper pads.
(Which in turn solders it to the motherboard)

This demonstration of a BGA Rework Station, shows you more about the above technique,

http://www.ersa.com/art-ir-pl-650-346-1472.html

Go down towards the bottom of the page, and click on the Red -
Take a few minutes to view the IR 650 demo video. (5 minutes)

Just for edification;
If it indeed did use the MXM technology, and a graphics adapter card for a laptop, that is based on the Nvidia GeForce GO7600 GPU, it would look like this, and plug into an interface, (Connector) on the motherboard,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/nVIDIA-GeForce-Go7600-Go7600-N-A2-G73M-DD2-256MB-MXM-II-VGA-Card-35G1P5310-10-/330758557353?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item4d02bf0ea9

(There is also a model with 128MB of graphics memory, besides the 256MB model shown above)

More in a Comment. Don't give up on increasing graphics 'power', just yet............................

I have a Dell Desktop , bought a cable to hook it up with my tv, also using a hd15 vga splitter, when I hook the wire going to the tv my computer monitor says cannot display video mode 1280by1200...

You just need to lower the screen resolution thats all.

You don't need a TV tuner card but you do need to adjust settings for your graphics card.

If its NVIDIA then use the DUALVIEW For ATI there is a similar thing but I don't use ATI so you would have to figure that one out yourself.

Setting up dual monitors with NVIDIA 7300 GS Graphics Adapter

so...
your computer don't recognize your nvidia graphic card in PCI Express slot.
you are runing now with computer's integrated graphic card?
if so then you won't have dualview option. in this case it looks for me like you've installed in the wrong way your graphic card.

your NV GeForce 7300 GS has 2 video output?
if yes then you should have the option for 2 monitors on nVIDIA control panel (i have check my nVIDIA GeForce 7600gt and in my case this option is present but is enabled only if i connect the second monitor, so try do so)

you have installed the latest nVIDIA drivers from the official website? http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

check if your video card is corect installed start/run type in " devmgmt.msc ". it will open device manager and under the display adapter tab you should see what video card you use now.
