SOURCE: Kenmore Electric Dryer will not Heat

Define checked everything. Usually when your dryer is not heating but blowing air its one of three things...
1. Thermal fuse in dryer
2. Thermistor in the dryer
3. Heating element in dryer

You need a signal meter with continuity check to accurately test all three componets. Normally the fuse and thermistor are in a set and cost less than 25 bucks. They are easy to replace if you are good with taking things apart. If the element is bad then you need to make sure your lint trap and exhaust hose are clean and kept clean. That is the main cause of the element burning up when it gets lint collected inside the dryer cavity.

In a pinch if the element is bad you can simply find where the metal has broken and try bending the rod so that it touches. The element has to be one solid piece so if there is breaks try and connect them back together until a new one can be purchased.

Please unplug the dryer before doing anything mentioned above.

Hope this helps

Kenmore dryer model #110.80754001 NOT HEATING

you checked the element so you know how to use a meter good,go in the back again, look at the duct that the lint filter goes into down low and to the right you'll see a white part with two wires going to it,that's the thermal fuse, pull at least one of the wires off and check for continuity,if you haven't cleaned out the dryer and vent line this usually pops,if the dryer can't move air from lint blocking the air flow the fuse will pop because the dryer is running to hot,if the fuse is good check the t-stats on the heater box for continuity.common things to go thermal fuse or t-stats on heater box,all has to do with dryer running to hot.thermal fuse is part WP3399849,you can go here to see all parts in machine
go here put model number in

There is a moisture sensor in the unit that tells the timer to advance. IT is not working. This could be a control board issue or bad connection.

Front loading kenmore 86983110 makes loud noise when turned on. Think that there is a problem with the belt. I am tryng to take it apart now and do not know how to find the belt

The belt is located at the back of the appliance.

To remove belt you have to remove a panel at the back, on some model you remove top panel first.

The belt does not make loud noise. Loud noise when spinning is usually caused by bad drum bearing, located at the back of the drum.
