Question about Emerson BAR900 MP3 Player
I bought an emerson mp3 player and do not know how to download music to it please help
First, install the software. if a disc comes with it, put that in before you connect it. if it dont have a disc, it will install when its connected. a window called "Autoplay" should come up. go to Open Folder To View Files and go to your My Music folder. drag all the music you want to the mp3 player's folder. hope this helped

Okay. 1st you take your usb cable and plug it into your computer's usb input. Then you go to any soft ware that downloads music and click on the mp3 software. Or take the little cd your mp3 came with and install the program on thier for downloading. If none of this works then take the cd install it and look at the guide, that is on the cd. AND if none of this works return your mp3 player!!!

from when i first bought mine...
does it show as an MP3 player or MTP device, if it is the second one you'll need to do some tinkering in the settings. the instructions for this are in the small manual [no really]. It'll then behave normally.
Otherwise MTP devices require you to put files on in a different (and slightly arcane) way they also may need to be 'official' DRM files rather than CD-rips
hope this helps in some way and does not confuse

I have one of these too and finally figured it out! If you push the menu button on the side, you get a menu that you can scroll through with the left/right arrows on the face. The music icon should be first in the list, but if not, scroll until you get it highlighted. Once highlighted, push menu again to select it. My trouble was in not realizing that the menu button is also the select button!

SOURCE: can't put music on my mp3 player
First of all, go to a site where you can download mp3s, like 4shared.com or Limewire.com. However, it's recommended that you purchase them safely and legally, like on iTunes or Wal-mart Music downloads. Save the file and download it to a folder on your computer. The mp3 will take a while to download but when it's finished, you can open it with a music program on your computer, like Windows Media Player or iTunes and listen to it. Make sure your mp3 player is plugged in and it shows up as a device on your "My Computer" and that it shows up on your music program. You can most likely drag the mp3 from the program to your mp3 player. Hope that clears everything up! If not, just comment me.

Not sure this will solve every ones problem but I had to upgrade media player to Version 10 to get this to work. I was running XP SP2 with media player version 9 and could not get it to show up in My computer. Also with ver9 I could download to the device but it would not recognize the files. Once I upgraded to ver10 all was golden. I think you also need to have USB 2.0.
Hope this helps

Windows Media Player has the Sync tab. I believe that WMP 9 does. But not 10. Either way, you can just open up the player in the My Computer folder. Then copy and paste any music files you have.
