HP laserjet 2430 dtn little typed letters print on the left side
I have a HP laserjet 2430 dtn. I am so frustrated!!! I have replaced the toner and drum several times. I can't seem to find why it prints letters in a row on the left side of the page. It like there are letters on a roller somewhere. Can you help?

Print Cartridge Motor Error.
Try removing then re-installing the cartridge. If that does not work then you will need to try a different toner cartridge as the toner cartridge is "locked up". These are the most common solutions. If none of these work then you have a cartridge drive problem and will need to contact a service center.
You just need to remove the toner and reach in with a dry rag and wipe the little inch wide window that is above where the toner goes. This window gets covered with toner dust and makes prints lighter...It runs all the way from right to left above the toner and drum.
It sounds like you fuser assembly is worn. The part on the fuser assembly that you are having a problem with is the heat roller assembly located in the fuser. You can have a technician replace that for you at you local HP repair center, Her is the part number for the fuser assembly.
Did you change the Toner cartridge? If that did not fix it :
Then the Fuser needs replacing. If you take the Fuser out from the rear, and rotate the drum in it, you will see the marks. You can try to clean it but experience shows that you will have to replace it.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
teflon coating on heat roller in fuser is coming apart. replace the fuser. also check to make sure the paper tray is set to the correct size. this means pull the tray out, remove all paper, look inside to make sure the arrow is pointing directly at the correct media size you are using i.e. letter or legal or whatever you are using. Good Luck! please rate this carefully.
HI there have you tried the toner cartridge as this could also cause this problem? Also change the transfer roller and are the bands going from left to right or from up to down. If the bands are left to right change both if up to down more likely to be the toner cartridge.
The previous toner cartrige may have been leaking toner in the printer. Even though you changed the toner, there might be leftover toner leakage in the printer. If you can clean that up, it might help the problem. Try running the cleaning mode on the printer if it has one. If there is more than one toner in the printer (if it's a color printer) then it might be one of the other toners. We usually use an electronics vacuum to clean up these messes. If you don't mind making a mess, you can use canned air to blow it out.
