I have a old desktop computer. We bought a Belkin ME1001-USB Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter for it so that we can connect to our wireless router. It has worked great for about a month. Then we just bought an HP C4480 printer and installed it to the computer. It works fine but anytime we turn the printer on, the wireless adapter loses connection. Sometimes the connection goes in and out but usually it just loses it completely. Most of the time, when we turn the printer off, the adapter just regains connection but sometimes we have to re install it. The wireless adapter and printer are hooked up through the 2 usb ports in the back of the computer. I have one more USB in front and tried using that instead but it still happens. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

no computer stated (old can be 20 years old)
post the service tag. and win,
those added USB wifi devices are known to be problematic.
its hack really.
best is to use Ethernet (cat5/rj45) to the router, on old gear.
and USB on the printer.
why not go to any GOODWILL stores
and buy used laptop for $25 one that is less than 10 years old
and win,or a DT.
there is no need to run old old gear now
they send most that old gear to 3rd world nations now.
in bulk.
or buy a e-machine here (e = cheap stripper)
way suffer with old old DT (desktop)
see these.?

Hello! I recommend that if you have a second desktop or laptop try to install those devices on it, so you can check if your old PC is the source of the problem or it is one of the devices. I think the most probable reason for this could be a power failure on that old desktop pc, that results on bad management of USB ports

We cannot connect the pro l7680 printer wirelessly. Connect the printer to the router via ethernet cable and connect the desktop to the router wirelessly.

Hi jjank740;
First off, did you try to recycle your printer? Turn it off and back on again. Sometimes power outages can disconnect that printer. If that doesn't work. Go to the printer and access the system network configuration on the led panel. Type in the WEP number and password again, and let it search for the connection. That should do it. Once it's connected you'll see the blue wireless indicator turn on.
Good Luck
Mark
