This is serious! Yes, really.
There is no intended light source in the tank. The most obvious answer is that the heater element has burnt out, and that the light you saw was red/white heat produced as the element failed. If you are in the UK, I suggest you contact the Earlex helpline (01483 454666).
If this is what's happened, the fuse in the plug has almost certainly blown too.
If this is helpful, please rate me.

the tank is divided into two parts, a fresh tank water, thats the one that has a rubber bladder and a pick uptank that store the dirty floor is the hard plastic tank. the bladder sets inside of the . pretty simple, in general. owner manuals can generally be downloaded from the manufacturers website. For Bissell products go www.bissell.com
and search for product manuals. Save the cost of a repair bill and take the family to a nice dinner! Good job!

If your wire is broken somewhere along the wire itself you'll need a pair of wire cutters a pair of wire strippers some black electrical tape. first the plug has to be unplugged I know your not stupid but trust me when your trying to fix something like that its not that hard to forget if you've been plugging and unplugging something over and over again. Anyway use the wire cutters and cut out the part of the wire that is broken or worn. Now cut back on both ends of the wire the out side isolation so you can work with the three wires separately with ease about two inches on each end. Now take the wire strippers and strip each wire on both ends until there all stripped only about a fourth of an inch. You have noticed that the wires are different colors so you won't have any problem matching the wires back together . One at a time you will connect the colors back to themselves the white to the white black to black . for instance your going to take both ends of the white wire and hold them next to each other as if you were measuring them and take your fingers or the tip of the strippers and twist the wires together . then where there twisted together bend the bear part of the wire against one side so the wire is horizontal again now take the electric tape and wrap it around the wire start and end before and after the bear part of the wire so all you see is color insulation and tape no bear wire. do the same thing to each wire most important thing to remember it that the bear part of all those wires can not be exposed and touch anything including the wire that's next to them . Now just take the tape and start just like you've been doing except this time your going to wrap all the wires with the tape and your done.

How do you remove the hose from the tank?

Not sure, but since it is a hose, should have a hose clamp holding it to the tank. Go on line and google Dyson Do It Yourself Repair Manual. That or some similiar google address should show you how to get the hose removed from the tank. If that doesnt work, try calling a Dyson dealer near you and ask them that specific question. I assume you have tried to pull the hose off. It could be just that simple. Since this is on the suction side of the pump, it may just compression fit over the inlet to the tank.

When I set it to manual, the sprayer won't spray. The sprayer light is on though

Hello, I hope this helps you...1st, rinse out the little filter that sits in the hole where you place your "Cleaning Solution" tank. It's a small piece of felt. If this gets loaded with dirt or soap...the machine WILL NOT SPRAY. If this doesnt work and your machine is out of warranty...there is an easy fix for about $20 Unplug the unit. Remove the screw under the clean solution tank, remove that plate and remove the two screws under it...next remove the 4 screws under the "Dirty Water" tank. Lift off the top of the machine and you will see a little red pump under the "clean solution" tank area. Remove the 2 screws and clamps holding it in and replace the pump. (Just do a Google search for "SPOTBOT Pump" until you find one.) That will do it. After replacing the pump, fill the clean solution tank..check for leaks and let the unit sit overnight. The pump has to fill with solution to work...

Let me start out with an apology. I did not ask my question very well - and you did not answer it as I needed.
If you wish, we MAY be able to communicate in your native language. We can do most indian languages, Turkish, Ukranian and some Russian - as well as Spanish. If any of those are easier for you - please feel free to use any of them.

The Machine storage tanks are 2 - one clean water, one dirty water.
I understand that, when OFF, no leaks happen.
I understand that when on a leak comes from "the side". Also, water comes from the bottom.

So, water comes out near the bottom brushes (even without trigger). Then, with trigger, MUCH water comes out near bottom brushes. Am I correct so far?

Water out the side concerns me. I am guessing that the bottom of the clean storage tank may have a small leak.
I am also guessing that the trigger valve (located in the small opening behind the black rubber seal that the clean water tank rests on) is not closing all of the way - or is broken (cracked).

Can you please remove the clean water tank and inspect the trigger valve with a torch (flash light). Can you see it open/close as you operate the trigger? Is it broken, cracked, or dirty?
If yes then it must be replaced. If no, the the storage tank is bad and must be repaired.

You inspect all of these things and you should be able to determine the failure. THEN, I an help you repair the failed item.

Bissell 1699 ProHeat Clear View uses very little soap.

The valve at the bottom of the soap tank may have gone bad, Also try running a mix of water and vinegar(not on carpet) to see if it will clean the system out. The system may just need cleaning out.

the problem is that after used you have to run clear water through it. the reason is that once you put it away there is still soap inside the tubes. after some time the soap gets hard and clogs it. in the case of the machines that have the heat the heater is also full of hard soap.

good luck
