Question about HP PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

COLOR COPY BUTTON DOESN'T WORK

When trying to copy a color document, I press the color button and it doesn't work. Could the board have gone bad? I took out the board, checked the cable connection. All seemed ok. I cleaned the board and put it back on, still the color copy button doesn't work. Any suggestions?

is it possible the color cartridge is empty? also when you print a document try it this way... press and hold the Crtl button and press "P". so it's "control P" now at the bottom of the left side menu screen you will see a "color" button select Color and then print.

Epson cx3200 printer has printing problem


Hello cockie ,

You can diagnose most problems by checking the control panel LED's for ink out, paper-out or copier problem.
If a problem occurs while you're printing, you'll see an error message in the progress window on your computer.
It may also be helpful to try running a printer nozzle check.

See the following message problems and solutions:

Error Message Probable Cause No color or black ink cartridge - - >
Press the Color Copy button to install a new ink cartridge.
The indicated cartridge is not installed or it is installed incorrectly. Color or black ink out - - >
Press the Color Copy button to begin replacing the ink cartridge.

There is something wrong with the ink cartridge. Paper jam or misfeed - - >

My printer epson 5400 wont print my word document


Try to use the copy function to isolate the issue, if it is from the unit or from the computer. If copy is blank, run a nozzle check ( Press the left Menu button on the control panel until you see Nozzle Check, then Press the Color Copy button.) to see if all inks are shooting out. If nozzle check pattern is not good, do head cleanings ( Press the left Menu button until you see Head Cleaning on the LCD screen.Press the Color Copy button ).

What does it mean when it says scanner failure?


Hello it means that the scanner bulb temperature is too low or there is some internal or external electrical malfunction.Try these solutions.
1.Check the scanner light.Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start, Copy, Color button on the product control panel.While the product is making the copy, lift the scanner lid slightly to see if the scanner light is visible.
2.Make sure that the room temperature is suitable for your device
3.Perform a Power Cycle on the unit by following the steps below:
1.Turn the unit off.
2.Unplug the power cord from the unit.
3.Wait 30 seconds, and then re-connect the power cord to the unit.
4.Turn the unit on.
5.Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
4.Check the power connections.Disconnect the power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors and then plug it directly into a wall outlet.Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.If the error message displays again, temporarily move the product to a different room, or plug the power cord into a different wall outlet.
5.Perform a partial reset
1.Disconnect the power cord from the product.
2.Press and hold # and 3 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
3.Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
6.Perform a semi-full reset(Performing a semi-full reset deletes any saved phone numbers on the product).
1.Disconnect the power cord from the product.
2.Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
3.Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
If nothing of these works and you still see the error you should take your printer to support service for repairing the parts.

Instructions for scanning on epson cx4300/cx5500/dx4400


Hi there,
Scanning the Document

Place the original on the glass.
1) Open the document cover and place your original face-down on the glass, in the upper left corner. Move your original about 1/10 inch away from the top and left edges so all of it will be copied. 2) Close the cover gently so you don't move the original . Caution : Never open the document beyond where it stops and do not place heavy objects on top of the CX4600. If you need to copy or scan a thick or large document, you can remove the document cover. Just open it and pull it straight up. If you need to press the document flat while you copy or scan it, do not press too hard and be careful not to move it. Caution : Do not use excessive force on the document cover, and do not twist it diagonally. You may damage the document cover. When you are done, replace the document cover by inserting the tabs back into the slots. Copying a document. 1) Load paper. 2) Press copy button until you see the desired number of copiesin the Copy window You can select up to 9 copies at a time. 3) Press the paper type button to select PLain Paper. The light indicates which type is selected. 4) Press the paper size button to select Letter. 5) If you want your copies automatically reduced or enlarged to fit the loaded paper size, press the Fit to Page button. 6) To make color copy, press the Start Color button To make black and white copy, press Start B&W button. The ON light flashes and after a moment the CX4600 starts printing. If you need to stop copying at any time, just press the Stop button. The printer can't get past the warm up phase


Solution one: Check the scanner light Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel. While the product is making the copy, slightly lift the scanner lid to see if the scanner light is visible. If the scanner mechanism moves across the scan bed, but the light is not lit, click here to service the product . Solution two: Check operating conditions Extreme temperatures can affect the operation of the product. Make sure the operating conditions match those recommended in the User Guide provided with the product. Solution three: Check the power connections
  1. Make sure that the product is connected directly to a grounded wall outlet and not plugged into a power strip.
  2. Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
  3. If the error message persists, temporarily move the product to a different room or outlet, and then make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
  4. Check the part number on the power supply to make sure that it matches the part number listed in the User Guide.
Solution four: Perform a power cycle
  1. Turn the product off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, and then connect the power cord to the product.
  4. Turn the product on.
  5. Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
Step one: Perform a partial reset
  1. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord.
  3. Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel. If the partial reset resolves the issue, do not continue to the semi-full reset.

Solution six: Service the product If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.Now if this still does not work call in to hp at 1800-474-6836 if your printer is out of warranty directly dont go for any troubleshooting just ask the agent who answers you call to give you the upgrade options(printers with a 50% discount with a years hardware replacement warranty as well as software help warranty ,which can be extended fro about 3 years)its basically a factory refurbished printer which means that if wallmart purchases a 100 printers and realises they need 99 then they send one back to hp thats what is called refurbished but no one has used it,if you get an option of a officejet J6480 that is the best printer I have it my friends have it my relatives also have it in autralia and canada.......wonderful printer easy to use and is usb as well as wireless capable

Lean the rollers in the automatic document feeder (ADF)
  1. Remove the document feeder tray from the product by gently pulling it.
  2. Lift the cover of the automatic document feeder by pulling it outward.
  3. Gently clean the rollers with a very damp cloth ansd a dab of dish detergent.
  4. Close the cover of the automatic document feeder, and then reattach the document feeder tray.
To clear the "scanner error" message do a
Perform a partial reset
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 3 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
  3. Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
    • If the partial reset resolves the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
    • If the error message displays again, proceed to the next step to try a semi-full reset.
If a partial reset did not work do the following: Perform a semi-full reset CAUTION: Performing a semi-full reset deletes any saved phone numbers on the product.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
  3. Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
    • If the semi-full reset resolves the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
    • If the error message displays again, unit may need service.

Error inkcartridge


Error message: No color or black ink cartridge-->Press the Color Copy button to install a new ink cartridge.
Solution: The indicated ink cartridge is not installed. Please install the necessary cartridge(s).

Error message: Color or black ink out -- >Press the Color Copy button to begin replacing the ink cartridge.
Solution: The indicated ink cartridge is out of ink. You will need to replace the necessary ink cartridge(s).


Error Message: Ink cartridge error -- > Press the Color Copy button to begin replacing the ink cartridge.
Solution: There is something wrong with the ink cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is genuine Epson ink. Also, try reseating the cartridge (remove it, and then reinstall it).

Error Message: Paper jam or misfeed -- > Press the Color Copy button and clear the paper jam by hand if necessary.
Solution: Paper is jammed. Check for any obstructions under the unit's cover, and in the paper tray.

Error Message: Paper out -- > Load paper in the sheet feeder and press the Color Copy button.
Solution: Load paper in the sheet feeder, and then press the Color Copy button to continue printing.

Error Message: Scanner unit open -- > close the scanner unit
Solution: Carefully close the scanner and press it down until it clicks securely into place.

Error Message: Scanner error -- > See your documentation and call service if necessary.
Solution: Press the ON button to turn off the Epson Stylus CX3200. Unlock the transportation lock, if necessary. If it is already unlocked, toggle the lock back and forth, 5-10 times. Turn on your Stylus CX3200 again.


Error Message: Printer error -- > See your documentation and call service if necessary.
Solution: Press the ON button to turn off the Epson Stylus CX3200. Disconnect it from power, and then reconnect it to power. Press the ON button to turn on the Stylus CX3200

HP J5780 All in one printer


Once try to make a scan and if we are getting line even while scanning. Then perform the steps given in the below webpage.

Directly go to step three and then try to make a copy.

If the issue still persists then power cycle the all-in-one.

  1. Turn the product off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the product.

  4. Turn the product on.
  5. Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
Now try to make a copy and check for the result. If the issue still persists then reset the all-in-one.

Scanner Failure, Power Off and On' Message Displays on the Control Panel when Copying or Scanning


Issue
The message 'Scanner failure, Power off and on' displays on the control panel of the product.
This error usually occurs when trying to scan, to make copies, or during the product start up.
Try the solutions in this document until the issue is resolved. It is not necessary to continue to the next solution if one solution resolves the issue.
Solution one: Check the scanner light
Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel. While the product is making the copy, slightly lift the scanner lid to see if the scanner light is visible.
CAUTION: Do not look directly at the light. It is not necessary to completely open the lid to see the light.
If the scanner mechanism moves across the scan bed, but the light is not lit, click here to service the product .
