Re: center speaker no longer works
If you can open the woofer case or box, take the speaker out and check connections on the speaker. If connection is good then speaker is blown. Then you can eather look on ebay for a replacemet unit, or just find a speaker that size and and ohms and replace it that way.

Are you speaking of audio through the TV speakers or through your sound system? If through your TV speakers , I would go into menu and make sure speakers are set to ON or TV. Settings can sometimes be reset or changed due to spikes or surges. Recheck all settings to eliminate the obvious. If everything is fine then it's possible an electronic component such as an IC is blown. This would not be very expensive to fix. Hope this helps.
I had a similar problem with my Philips home theater. What I did was to go through the set-up again with the manual in hand and I got the speakers working but I sill have problems with radio the sations. Kolbrun
check if the volume control is set at minimal or the sound is set at mute... if its under warranty just bring that to the store or to the authorized service center. if not try this simple steps... (1) unplug the unit from the wall socket (2) place the unit on a flat surface. make sure not to touch the screen. (3) unscrew to remove the protected cover (4) look at the speaker. check if its properly connected. check if the speaker is not busted or open by testing the speaker. (5) if you have an ohm meter just place the test prod on the speaker terminal. it should read 8 ohms or what ohms the speaker is specified. if you don't have a ohm meter try to use a 1.5 volts double AA or triple AAA type battery.but first remove the connection of the speaker so that you will not damage the unit.. using a battery place the positive side to one side of the speaker terminal. use a piece of wire to connect the other side of the battery to the one side of the speaker. once you place, you should hear a crackling sounds... if not the speaker is the problem. (6) replace the speaker. and connect it back from the terminal. (7) place the protected cover back to its original position. (7) turn the unit on and enjoy.... ty
sounds like the speakers are out of order and/or maybe 1 or 2 not connected. use a AA battery and "pop" each speaker wire. it's low voltage and amperage so it won't damage your speakers. but the pop will allow you to know exactly what speaker you have and if it's connected. now make sure to put it in the correct spot. i would start with the center channel. sounds like this one's not connected. please rate if this was helpful!
The speakers need some kind of amplification, if you have something like a set of computer speakers connected and they are not powered they won't work, try connecting them to the headphone jack.
Let me know the set up, what kind of speakers, audio settings from the tv menu.
