OK, Here you are . Your present card ,8500GTdraws approximately 40 watts. Your proposed card draws approximately 150 watts according to a review I just read on it.  A 400 watt is not very much and if you get close to maxing out you run the risk of a low voltage problem which could and will burn out compoinents.  I would not do it.    Also , if you upgrade power supply, know that the wattage given is usually peak , not operating wattage which can be as much as 10 or more percent less. Go for at least 600.

This motherboard has 1 PCI Express x16 slot for a graphics card.

You could use:
Geforce 6 series (6800GT)

Geforce 7 series (GeForce 7950, GeForce 7900, GeForce 7800, GeForce 7600 ,
GeForce 7300, GeForce 7200 and GeForce 7100)

Geforce 8 series (GeForce 8800 Ultra, GeForce 8800 GTX, GeForce 8800 GTS, GeForce 8800 GTS 512, GeForce 8800 GT, GeForce 8800 GS, GeForce 8600 GTS, GeForce 8600 GT and GeForce 8500 GT)

Suggest Compatible Graphics Card for my D101GGC Motherboard m/c.

that board uses a pcix vid card go here and select any of these or buy one from where ever you want. make sure it is a pci express (pcix) card not a pcix 2.0 your mobo does not support the 2.0 cards.

a little advise if you want to paly serious games you will want at LEAST a geforce 6800 or gretaer card. an excellent gaming card for the money is a 9800 gtx about $100 or so look here:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=9800+gtx
you do not need the 3d cards they are expensive just look at #3 in that list. a good card for decent price. i personally use a xfx 9800 gtx to game with. no problems and most games can have the grphics turned right up. where you will run into trouble is with your single core pntium 3.2. that will limit how much you can turn everything up as some of the graphics options for games are controlled by the processor believe it or not. but still i would get a 9800 gtx if it were my system

Does Intel DG31PR Motherboard suooorts Nvidia

Your mobo has pci express slot for grafics card. so it supports all the pci express cards and i think that the 9800 is pci express.

Best graphics card support

You'll be able to fit the 9800 card in to the PCI-Express slot for the motherboard.

The problem then becomes for you, do you have sufficient power going to the card (it'll have plugs that attach to it as a part of the video card when purchased) but more importantly, will it even fit in your case? The graphic's cards are large and fairly bulky, so be sure to look at the dimensions of the card along with if you'll have enough room to house the new card within your tower.

Installing NVidia 8500GT XFX 256MB graphics to A8N-VM Motherboard

The chances are that you have an old motherboard which is not compatable with the new graphic card. Or you may be running windows 98 and are downloading the driver for xp or visa versa. The probable solution, will be to sell the new card on ebay and buy the best old card you can off ebay. Or just make do with the card you already had in your computer. If you are determined to have a better graphics card. A motherboard upgrade with better graphic card may be the best answer or buy a better spec pc second hand if you don't have much money. You'll probably waiste a lot of time trying to get the new card to work and it probably never will.
