Question about Intel DG31PR Motherboard
I wana know if i can upgrade my graphic card from Nvidia 8500GT 512 mbs to Nvidia 9800GTX+
i have:DG31PR motherboard,2gb ram,intel core 2 duo 2.7,and a 400W MAX power supply...
OK, Here you are . Your present card ,8500GTdraws approximately 40 watts. Your proposed card draws approximately 150 watts according to a review I just read on it. A 400 watt is not very much and if you get close to maxing out you run the risk of a low voltage problem which could and will burn out compoinents. I would not do it. Also , if you upgrade power supply, know that the wattage given is usually peak , not operating wattage which can be as much as 10 or more percent less. Go for at least 600.
