RCA D52W15 TAKES AWHILE FOR IT TO POWER ON THE GREEN LIGHT FOR

THE POWER BLINKS 3 TIMES AND IT STILL WILL NOT POWER ON. I TAKES US UP TO AN HOUR TO POWER UP THE TV BUT ONCE IT IS ON IT WORKS GREAT. I WAS TOLD THAT IT COULD BE A BEHAVIORAL PROBLEM. THANKS TRACY

Ck 3 capacitors cp114,120,150, if any of them is puffed up on top replace all 3 2200uf 16v other 2 are 220uf 35v /resolder all pinns on Flyback Transfomer.

Yes, it is not a good set and the situation you indicate means a short exists and the set is following the 3 strikes rule it has--it will attempt to come on 3 times and then go into shutdown.

This is a common problem on this kind tv.
Replace capacitors on power supply.
22000 uf 16V and 220uf 16 V; upgrade to 35V.

Most likely a bad flyback. It's a cheap part, but service people are even having a harder time getting ahold of one since they are failing often.

Possible short and safety is keeping the set from burning up. A service man should be able to find the short hopefully in a small amount of time.
