No Link to Base - - Walk closer to base and try again --

You should try resetting both the base and handset but removing their power supply/batteries and then reconnecting their power supply/batteries. You can also check and see if there is a registration option on the handset that will re-link it with the base. Could just be broken though!

My phone says no link to base but I am right beside it.

Sounds like the antenna on the base station is not receiving, or the cordless handset is not transmitting -OR- the sets have never been registered to the base station (please look up registering to base station, if the set has never been registered)

Did the cordless set work before?

The base station or the handset may just have a hick up, I would un-plug the base station and leave it un-plugged... now get all the cordless set(s), and take out the batteries from the cordless set(s). Wait for about 15 seconds for all the power to drain out of the sets, then re-install the batteries.

Once all the cordless sets are back up and working, plug in the base station and wait for about 1 minute.
This forces the base station to re-establish and link between the base station and the cordless sets.

Good luck

Phone says OUT OF RANGE while on the base and won't work.

The handset has lost the link with the base. This link codes the handset to the base with a unique security code so others with the same phone cannot use your phone line.

If you changed the battery, try disconnecting the base telephone line and ac adapter for a while (1/2 hour or so if possible).

Remove the battery from the handset as well.

After 1/2 hour, install the battery in the handset, connect the telephone line and ac adapter to the base. Place the handset in the charging base and the link should be established. If not, the phone is defective.

"no link to base" error message

Sounds like the antenna is not working, and signal is not getting to the cordless sets.

Try unplugging your base station (unplug everything; power and phone cable - the basestation were all the cords are plugged into) and leave it unplugged, pull out all the batteries in the phones, and then start by putting all the batteries back into the phones.

Once the phones are back and powered up, plug in the base station again, and see if that helps.
All this is doing is re-setting the phones and base station and forcing them to re-link to each other.

I hope this helps.

I have problems the no link to base with Panasonic

  • Press and hold the LOCATOR/INTERCOM button for the extension that is displaying "No Link To Base" on the Base until a beep sounds.
  • Press and hold the FLASH/CALL WAIT button on the Handset that is displaying "No Link To Base" until a beep is heard.
  • When registration is complete, a beep sounds from the handset.
  • Wait for 20 seconds after registration is complete to allow the handset to establish communications with the base.

If this doesn't work or it keeps happening, replace the battery in the handset.

You might try removing then replacing the battery. After trying everything recommended in the manual this is how I restored normal operation.

Sounds like a defective battery or low battery.
1. Have you replaced the battery?
2. Have you changed the channel?
3. Have you dropped it?
Answer these few questions and we'll see if we can figure it out.
Let me know.

Phone does not work

I had exactly the same problem. I tried re-registering the handset several times with no change. In desperation, I took the battery out of the handset for a minute or so and unplugged the transformer from the wall. I reinstalled the battery and plugged the transformer back in and voila! The phone now works! No guarantees that it will work for everyone, but it worked for me.
