The back panel need to be open (inside the freezer ) and see if there is build up of ice there the make it, also :
your freezer cabinet need to get all out also the ice machine, and open the back wall
there is a drain hole in the bottom middle of it make sure it is clean, and if you pure water they go all the way
through the pip to the drain pan next to the compressor.

Hi,

The defrost drain is located just under the cooling coils in the back of the freezer. You will need to unload the food and remove the shelves from the freezer. Take the back panel off from inside the freezer and you will see a hole just below the coils. Flush it with hot water using a turkey baster or small hose. See the link below for more details.

Water is leaking onto top shelf of fridge. It is a top freezer.

Sounds like you have a frozen drain in the freezer. You can remove the back panel of the freezer and take a turkey baster and run hot water down the drain line to clear it. Once its cleared you will want to dump an additional cup of water down to make sure that its clear. This will stop the defrost tray from overflowing when the unit goes into defrost. This is where the water is coming from.
Hope this helps _MJ_

Removed inside rear and floor panels of freezer (ice machine also) as ably advised by your tech. Found ice damming he suspected underneath floor panel. Thawed overnight with pot of hot water in freezer. could see that small rear drain tube was iced shut; why all water going into fridge below. Avoided floor mess from thawing water flow to evaporation pan on floor by tilting unit forward on blocks and laying several old towels inside freezer door to catch water that would run out. Also placed some in front at base of unit on kitchen floor. Continuing to thaw pipe to unclog, it is iced some way down, again as tech said it might. Will reassemble and be careful with freezer setting, in case it may have been too cold. Also, some food crumbs had found their way behind panel near this drain tube and may have fallen in to block it. Will clean out any remaining.

Water pools in fridge under light bulb at top. This fridge has a freezer & icemaker on top. Water is not pooling in the freezer.

Water has frozen in the separator between the two cavities. Remove the freezer rear panel and the floor.

Fridge is dripping directly onto top shelf. It is

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question. Water is leakig from behind the control panel

You did the right thing by trying to clear the drain in the back of the freezer, but it must not have cleared. If the ice maker is not leaking then the only other source of water can be defrosting ice build up on the evaporator coils when it goes through its cycle. You know your drain is clear when water can flow down it. Defrosting your refrigerator completly usually solves this. If it does not, then check to make sure the freezer compartment fan is working, next it may be either your thermostat or timer control. Those are pretty much the only possibilties.

Freezer leaks into refrigerator

The most likely cause for this is the defrost condensate collector tray below the evaporator is frozen over and the back panel in the back of freezer will need to be removed after disconnecting the power. Then defrost the tray and pour warm water with a mixture of Clorox in the drain to make sure the water drains to the pan below the refrigerator that is near the compressor. If you continue to have problems I will send links that may be more helpful for this problem. Sea Breeze
