Question about Computers & Internet
When transferring file between a lan computer and the server (HP ML350), the transfer is very very slow.
Theres is no problem when using a Linksys switch or between two computers with the Zyxel ES116P.
The server lan card is a HP NC105i PCIe Gigabit Server Adapter and is negociating 100MbpsFull duplex. Lan computer are negociating also 100Mbps Full duplex.
Gigabit Server Adapter :
802.1p QOS Disable
CheckSum Offload None
Flow Control Disable
Large Send Offload Disable
Locally Administered Address ''None''
Number of Receive Descriptors 100
Number of Transmit Descriptors 100
Speed & Duplex Auto
Wake Up Capabilities None
WOL Speed Auto
Driver Hewlet Packard 14/10/2008 Version 220.127.116.11
There is no problem when using a linksys switch so i guess that the HP NIC connected to the Zyxel switch have a problem.
Try forcing the ports that the server connects to on the switch to 100Mb Full duplex, sometimes one side negotiates incorrectly, and the switch can set itself to half duplex, even though the other end is set to full duplex.
