Valuesoft claims it is because of recent iTunes update and they are working on a patch, but have no idea of how long that will take, so I recommend you revert to older iTunes version until the patch is released.

If you cannot reinstall the software, then try doing a system restore to a recent date when the application was working.

You find system restore on Start >Programs>Accessories>System tools>System restore.

If that does not work, then you can try to uninstall the application using the following software.

TUNE TOOLS WON'T READ MY 80GB IPOD BUT USED TO WHAT DO I DO ? TUNE TOOLS MESSAGE IS:(THERE WAS AN ERROR LOADING THE APPLICATION:JAVA.LANG.EXCEPTIO:UNNOWN MHOD...TYPE-102)

By any chance had you recently upgraded your ITunes to ITunes version 9 or higher? Tune Tools used to work fine for my Ipod Classic 80 gig, but as soon as I upgraded my ITunes to version 9, the Tune Tools 2 stopped working, and I got that exact same java.lang.exception error.

If you have updated to ITunes 9, there isn't anything you can do about it.

Why tune tools does not detect my Ipod now? It did previously.

Hi, I just purchased Tunes Tool 2.0 today.  I hoped to use it to transfer songs from my Windows iPod video to my MacBook.  When I installed Tune Tools, the same problem occurred that you all were having;  It could not detect my iPod and gave me a notification about a null iPod.  I figured out how to fix this, and all my songs were able to be transfered onto my mac flawlessly. The steps I used are listed below.
1) Open Tune Tools and iTunes. 2) Plug in your iPod. 3) In iTunes, click the summary tab (if not already selected) 4) On the Summary page, check the box that says "Enable Disk Use" 5) A message will pop up, click OK 6) Open Tune Tools, and Your iPod's library should be there.  If not, you may have to reconnect your iPod. 7) You will have to manually highlight all the songs you want to be transfered from your iPod to your computer. 8) Once all the songs you want have been selected, drag to your iTunes Library in Tune Tools. 9) A blue bar should appear and tell you that your music is being transfered. 10) The songs will be transfered from your iPod to your computer.
I hope this works for all of you!

Java.lang.NullPointerException

I believe the error should read "java.lang.NullPointerException"

This error simply means that whatever your application code is trying to get is not there- its a null. Its either out of range or does not exist at all.
