Remove the square screw covers above the keyboard on either side of the swiveling screen hinge. Unscrew the 2 screws and use a small flat head screw driver to remove the plastic cover above the keyboard. Do this by inserting the screw driver underneath the plastic cover near to the f keys on the keyboard and gently pop the cover off. Carefully remove the ribbon from the motherboard, use a small screw driver to release the clip that holds the ribbon in place (ribbon located above f3,f4 keys). Slide the keyboard up and it should release if it doesn't then there may be some sticky tape holding the keyboard down, this is located behind the f2,f3,f4,f5 keys, carefully pull the keyboard away but hold the keyboard by the f keys so that you do not damage the keyboard by bending it. Reverse the procedure to fit new keyboard
I don't see why, if the correct software is installed, it wouldn't be able to do it. Both devices have a passive digitizer, meaning that you "write" on the screen. Though you would need to insure that the software is windows 2000 compatible, or hire someone who has the experience with either device to install XP on it for you. Hope this answers your question! Good luck and Godspeed!
Acer's IR ports works only for Remote control and certain compitable devices only. its not open port for all devices. It cant be used for other pheripherals as far as i know! If its bluetooth then it can work surely.
