1) Insert a USB Flash drive into the machine. Select the SCAN function. Follow the prompts on the display (asking for filetype, etc)
2) With the machine directly connected to a PC via a USB cable you can use the Brother scan software that came with the machine. If you do not have the disc that came with it you can get the software from their website.
