My JVC GR - D290 says that the lens cap is on when the lens cap is off

Open and close it a few times. Maybe tap the side a little bit as the lens cap switch may be sticking.

My sony handy cam shakes really bad when I zoom...It's not caused by me because it still does it even on a tripod...Is something loose?...any info on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated

Inside your camera there is mechanical movement when you zoom. There is a motor that turns a wheel is connected to a belt with teeth that goes to your lens. this moves the lens in and out. If a screw on this assembly is loose then anything of that sort can happen. You to have the lens assembly opened professionally then check if the belt and motor are still running properly and if the assembly is not loose. You can tighten the screws or if something is cracked you can use superglue to join it together. Using it like that will make the situation worse and it might stop working.

Sony handy cam dcr sr42 error code E:61:10 please explain

According to Sony this means "Take the camera in for service."

What it usually actually means is that the lens is stuck. Your question doesn't include that information, though.

If the lens is stuck (and you're out of warranty), the best known solution is to smack the camera while it is off. It's a bit scary, but there are many testimonials to it working. I recommend reading a bit at that link.

Lcd screen view is reversed. In other words everything you view on the screen is reveresed, like looking in a mirror.

It's a loose cable connection in the LCD. Mine started to do that and if I push the open LCD panel toward the lens slightly it corrects. I have a little tutorial I made on how to take it apart here: http://www.tomorrowsgarden.net/content/how-repair-canon-vixia-camera-black-screen-issue

The front portion of my Panasonic DVX-100 is loose

AFTER REMOVING THE LENS HOOD Try to remove the 2 tiny screws in the front of the lens and then you see 4 more screws .What happened is that some force on the lens broke the plastic base for some of these 4 screws. So try with a small screw driver and be careful about flat cable of focus sensor

My canon L1 Hi8 has a LENS error message on the screen how do I fix it

According to what I find, the 'LENS' message means that either there is no lens mounted, or that the lens is not mounted correctly. The camera is only compatible with VL lenses, which are identified with a "VL" mark. If you're sure you have a compatible lens, and the lens is mounted correctly, you probably need to have the unit serviced. I'm not really sure where you might find a shop that services that model though.

Loose Manual Focusing Lens Device

There is a bulletin (E31529192) that describes your exact problem and recommends replacing the screws with new different screws to prevent this from happening again. The front section around the lens assembly is only held by 3 screws so access isn't a big deal, just be careful if you try this because there is a cable connected to the microphone that is easy to damage. The new screws are part number 3-056-559-01. Be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!
