Envy charge port keeps breaking

I have been through three envy's and I am constantly replacing it due to the charging port breaking. is there something I am doing wrong? Or how can i fix it. Is anyone else having this issue? Ugh. I have the same problem. This happened with the original Envy phone. At first it would charge at all, then I figured out I could rig it a certain way by putting something heavy on the cord. Eventually that didn't work at all and I got the Envy 2. The new version has a different style charging port and was supposed to be better. However, only 5 months later it is doing the same thing. I am beyond irritated.

Verizon finally gave me a "new" phone..but my first one was terrible. the charger kept getting stuck in the charging port, and the prong things were sticking out. I went through 3 chargers and a bunch of calls to customer service until they gave me another phone. I hope this doesn't happen again. I'm extra extra careful when removing the charger, hoping this doesn't happen again!

I am on my 2nd Envy and now the wall charger I had to purchase with the 2nd phone broke! I absolutely love the phone but the charging issue is so irritating! I even have trouble charging it with the car charger. It really is a terrible design on LG's part.

the charging port came out of my phone with the charger, so i got a new phone, then my new phone was charging perfectly fine and then all of a sudden I plug it in to charge it won't charge at all. I have had this new phone for 5 days

had it for 2 years. worked great and loved it. charging port stopped taking a charge. I rigged it a few times by putting pressure on the cord, but now that doesn't work. Got the Envy 2, but didn't like the small front screen, so went to LG Voyager and it is identical to the EnV, except with a touch screen on the front. Not crazy about that, but the mobile TV feature and real internet more than make up for it. It's only $30 more than the EnV2 and a much better phone. the only scary thing is that it has the exact same charging port (wish i would have know that before buying extra cords, which i now don't need), so i'm treating it very carefully, especially on the car charger.

My chargers kept breaking and I kept buying new ones.
This time around i could get it to charge if it set just know, like getting a child not to scream if you are really careful around it.
Finally it just stopped working altogether unless I held it really tight.
I'm going to talk to the Verizon people tomorrow.

I had the Envy for about a year and the charge port broke. if i put force down on the charger (pushing it upward into the phone) it would charge..but after a few days it just broke all together. got a new one, and that lasted a month before it started doing the same thing. my Boyfriend is on his 4th Envy for the same reason on the three previous phones. all in all...the phone's manufacturing is defective.

go to and claim it. it's $50 and they send you a new phone. the company is Asurion (i think is how u spell it) and they send replacement phones. since my 2nd EnV broke so quickly...they auto upgraded me to the EnV2. it sucks that i had to pay $50 again, but i can't complain, cuz i finally have a phone that works (so far!)

Although today's electrinics are nicer to look at than things were 5 years ago, they're also more fragile. You must treat things like egg shells if you want them to last. I've had the same cell phone for 4 years, mi wife has been through 7.

My Sennheiser HDR 140 headphones charge whenever you hang them on the charger. The charger will "trickle" charge them to keep the batteries fully charged. If you find when you use it the batteries discharge quickly it's time to replace them.
My batteries are about 2 years old and I still get about 8-10 hrs of use before needing to recharge

How do you get an envy to charge when it stops charging

The charger port is very easily broken but you can trade it in for a new one or go to your local contract provider and get it easily replaced. Good Luck.

Charger port on LG shine broke.

It could be either your charger is broken or the charging port in the phone is- I would recommend taking it to a store and have them check it out for you.

Braun 5614 rechargeable cordless shaver light flickers

Your batteries are starting to degrade, but the good news is they're still holding a charge for a week, so you really don't need to rush to replace them at this point.

The flickering of the charged indicator is normal, as the shaver is still plugged in and the batteries are fully charged. The flickering is due to the batteries chemicals breaking down, and as such, the charge cycle keeps "topping" them off while it's still plugged in.

When you finally aren't able to get a decent amount of cordless operation and run times from your shaver, then you'll want to get them replaced, whether you decide to do that yourself or have it done by a professional service center, is up to you.

Here's a reference for your future use. carries replacement (factory OEM) batteries for most brands of shavers and they also will provide the repair/replacement service for you, should you decide you don't want to do it yourself. You can also give them a call at 1-888-476-1785 and request a price quote, etc.

Anyway, your shaver is working fine and all you need to do is make sure you're not letting the shaver stay plugged in and charging constantly for more than a day, since any "extra" chargind isn't doing anything except keeping the batteries at a constant state of charge. Heat is a byproduct of charging and discharging any battery and as such, you want to allow for a cool down period before recharging them.

I tend to use my shaver until it is almost completely discharged before recharging it. By doing this, you can get the longest working life out of your batteries before you'll have to replace them.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

LG ENV VX9900 Common Charge Port Problem

I am not sure why this happens besides the obvious poor construction of this phone. Good for you for not resting on this. In addition to all the steps you've taken, I'd contact the media. It is good place to start getting the word out. I'd contact local newspaper and the local news consumer affairs deparrtment. Nobody wants negative press and that might be enough to tip the scales. As you stated, you are not alone. In the end you will help other consumers and their children won't be stuck out there with no way to call their parents.
Good luck!
