Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
Refrig not used for a year. Now 2 new filters tried. Thin flakes of orange "stuff" in water and ice. House water is clear. Problem seems to be after the filter. What/where could this be happening?
There was water in the lines that evaporated and this is the residue that was left. If you gan get to the inlet, put some full strength white vinegar in it and let it soak for 10 - 30 minutes. This will soften and break loose the remaining deposits. Connect the water supply and flush well.
