Hey there! thanks for using Fixya.com!

got this steps and hope this will help you. Just pe patient alright! its kinda long but i am sure that it will help you a lot!

Know how you are going to arrange/connect the wires and devices (also know what type of cables are needed, such as: coaxial, S-video, RCA patch-cords, etc.), and how they will be stacked, arranged or otherwise situated when you are finished. This foreknowledge will prevent a frustrating do-over.

  1. Connect the "tv out". On the back of the cable-box/vcr there will be 2 coaxial hookups, labeled "cable in" and "tv out" or something similar. The "cable in" (cable box) gets hooked to the cable jack from the wall or floor. Connect the "tv out" (cable box) cable to the "in" on the VCR. Connect the "out" (vcr) to the coaxial connection on the TV.
  2. Connect the red, white, and yellow colored RCA patch-cords" or an S-video cable (small, round ends with little pins and a piece of long, thin plastic [or a "fin"] inside). These cables should have come with the DVD player. If not, you can buy them at any store that sells electronics, such as Radioshack.
  3. Check the back of your TV to see which type of hookups are available and use the appropriate cables. Make sure that you are going "out" of the DVD player and "in" on the TV. These should be labeled as well.
  4. Plug everything in to test. Make sure that your TV is on the proper channel for the cable-box and VCR (usually 3, sometimes 2 or 4). The VCR should be on the same channel (for recording purposes.) When the VCR is off, you are watching cable. When the VCR is on, you are watching a tape.
    • The DVD player will be found on an alternate "input" setting such as "video1", "svideo", etc. depending on the input and type of TV.
  5. Stack your components however you wish. (see the warning about blocking vents) and power them up.
  6. Sit back and enjoy!!

Alternative Method
  1. Hook up a 3 way splitter to the wall cable outlet.
  2. Attach 3 RF coaxial cables to it.
  3. Connect one cable to the (in)on the cable box.
  4. Connect one cable to the (in) on the vcr.
  5. Connect one cable to the (in)on the tv.
  6. Connect the Svideo cable from the cable box to the tv.
  7. Use red white and yellow audio and video and cables to go out from the vcr, into the tv.
  8. Use red white and yellow audio and video cables to out go from the cable box into the tv.
  9. If S video cable is connected (#6) the yellow video connection from cable box to tv is not used.
Tips
  • RCA patch-cord cables are color coded: red & white are for audio (red is for right channel, white is for left channel) and yellow is for video.
  • If you are still having problems, call your cable provider and ask them to send a technician to help connect them. There might be a small charge, but it might be worth it.

Warnings!!!!
  • Be sure to unplug components before changing connections to avoid power surges that might damage the delicate electronics.
  • Be sure that all of your components have room to "breathe." Any openings in the case of your equipment is there to prevent overheating. Don't cover them up!
REgarding your universal remote code for the COX remote:

I have some steps again:Turn on the TV, VCR, DVD, or entertainment center that you want the remote control to control.
Step 12On the remote control, press the appropriate mode button for the device once.
Television TV
Stereo amplifier or receiver AUX
DVD, PVR, VCR DVD Step 22Press and hold the SETUP button until the selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button. Step 3Using the number keys, enter 9 - 9 - 1.

Result: The selected mode button blinks twice. Step 4Aim the remote control at the device, and then press the POWER button once. Step 56Press the CH+ (or CH-) button one or more times until the device turns off.

Notes:

In search mode, the remote control sends IR codes from its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first.
If, while pressing the CH+ button, you inadvertently pass the code, press the CH- button one or more times until the TV turns on. thenPress the SETUP button once to lock in the code.

Result: The selected mode button blinks twice. then8To search for codes for other devices, repeat steps 1 through 7.

or another way of doing this is using a phono cable This is simply red and white audio out on the dvd player to audio in on the TV

Digital optical sockets are normally hidden under a little black plastic plate, just pull to remove

Screen says no disc

It doesnt happen every time, but about 50% of the time when we put a disc into the machine we get a message saying "no disc." I usually take it out and put it back in a few times to make sure that everything is shut tightly, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. If it happened every single time we would think the machine was broken, but because it works half the time.other wise disc problem

How do i hook up to my tv?

It is very straight forward it all depends on the connections your tv has. If you know the model of your tv I can give you more specific directions. Basically just take color coded cables, connect from the output of the dvd player to the input on your tv. If you need any further assistance please let me know.
Thank you,
Lee

It's quite possible the laser isn't moving properly in the player or it can't read the index on the DVD because the lens can't see it.

If it's still under warranty, it could be returned.

Try a Laser Lens Cleaner disc.

It is a CD with brushes on the bottom to help clean the laser lens (used for reading discs).  It can be found cheapest in grocery stores, then office supply stores, and finally most expensive in electronics stores.  It will usually run you about five to ten dollars, and can be used multiple times on any disc drive.

Make shure you put TV TYPE --> ntsc in the general setting
I tried this (on a multisystem set that can be "made to think" that it's a PAL or NTSC set as the case may be) and it worked. The Nexxtech DP3222 and the Entiveo DP3220 are basically the same unit except that (a) the hack for the Nexxtech doesn't require resetting every time you turn the unit on and off, unlike the Entiveo (this is really annoying) and (b) you can set the Nexxtech to multisystem, NTSC, or PAL standards, whereas the Entiveo is NTSC-only, but (c) the fast-forward on the Nexxtech is somewhat less intuitive than on the Entiveo (involves holding a button down). All in all, I prefer the Nexxtech, if only because it is more easily hackable. And I would have sworn that the Nexxtech had a blue screen saver on it before I started hacking it, because now it has a really gross-looking black-and-white screen saver. But I don't care about screen savers as long as the unit does what I want it to do.

Remote code #

I have just bought a GE Universal remote control and after playing with the codes and my Nexxtech DP3222, I have found the working code for the player. The code from my GE Universal 24921 for the DP3222 is 0956. The remote is sold in Walmart for a cheap price of US$4.96. I hope this info helps.

The drawer on the unit won't open.

When the DVD player is plugged into power and switched on, and won't power up (nothing shows up in the front display panel), the power supply unit in the DVD is blown. the noise that player made was probably a capacitor going off. You will have to get the unit repaired.
