Question about Toshiba TP55F80/81 55" Rear Projection Television
We are having problams with heavy red lines above everything. When we first turn it on its fine for awhile then then start showing up and it makes it very hard to watch. any ideas?
You have a convergence failure. It may be possible to simply re-solder the pin connections under the convergence output ICs as they have a tendency to develop cold solder joints which cause intermittent mis-convergence. If the solder connections are good, then replacment of the ICs will be necessary. Expect to pay $350-450 to have a toshiba servicer fix this.
