Well, I am getting real tired of this T.V. If it's not one thing it's another
We replaced the lamp not too long ago. Yesterday the clean filter prompt came on, so we cleaned it. No picture now, the lamp light is flashing. Pulled out the lamp & it looks good.
I ended up replacing the large fan on my mine and now it works great. Was a little tricky getting it out of the cabinet, you have to loosen the wire clamps to create enough free slack in the wire to be able to pull the wire far enough to get the fan out. If you're familiar with a screwdriver, you should be able to get it fixed easily enough. You can find the fan on the panasonic support website. Part number is FBL12G12LS.

Hello, have you replaced the lamp, it sound like the lamp is failing, it may also need the fans cleaned (the main reason for pre-mature lamp failure). Replace the lamp with a genuine Panasonis or Osram lamp only....tks
It could be the lamp depending on the replacement you installed. Some of the Generic last a year or less--original or OEM have a 2,000 hour life and that determined by how much set is on.
First thing to look at is lamp.
NOTE: at the time this set was made in the menu was a Quick on feature---it runs the lamp all the time(when set is off it dims down but does not go out) THIS FEATURE WILL IF ENGAGED DRASTICALLY SHORTEN THE LIFE OF THE LAMP not to mention using more electrical power in your home.
Chances are real good the lamp is bad. Open the lamp door, remove the lamp and see if it is shattered or scorched on the inside. If so, replacing the lamp will fix it. Only replace it with a genuine Hitachi part. The part number should be on the lamp cage.
I have read another solution which may indicate the light engine has failed and will likely need replacing. The cost is quite expensive. $1500 range and apparently the part is no longer available from LG. Best you might do is get an estimate to repair just to be sure.
Lamp light constantly blinking shows that lamp is dead/ broken. If any thing else like ballast supply etc become defective, standby light will start flashing in specific order. Replace lamp and make sure to get Son original replacement lamp to solve the issue. Thanks.
Is the picture quality good if it is then the lamp is ok try to reset the lamp timer if you haven't all ready. I think that the problem is coming from the ballast board this is the power source to the lamp, with time this part starts to ware out and starts to get weak. that is the reason your lamp does not stay on
2 things will cause this Lamp is defective, or Fan to lamp quits running this will shut TV OFF, if the fan quits running while Lamp is on it is design to shut Lamp Off to prevent Damage to Lamp IF Fans are ok It will be the Ballast board It is what turns Lamp on.Look on E-Bay for Ballast board if it turns out thats what you need or call Encompasss Electronics 1-800-638-3328
You will need to have it diagnosed if you do not have the service manual, or the knowledge of how these circuits work. I can tell you to replace this or that but it would be a guess! You need to start measuring the voltages on the ballast circuit, as I have seen door switches, fan sensors, heat sensors cause all of your symptoms as well. Good Luck
