I have just put my sd card in my new phone sg600(samsung) and i can play all my music on the card but when i go to access it on the phone it says needs password but i have never had a password for the card?

First of all, you should stop saving any new files to your Samsung sg600 mobile phone (or SD card) or taking new pictures.
Then find some photo recovery software, which are able to recover deleted or formatted photos from cell phone, digital camera, memory card and SD card etc.
