Question about Kenmore Elite HE4 Electric Dryer
We have a new (one year old or so) Kenmore Elite HE3 electric dryer. When we set it on a "normal" setting for 48 minutes of drying, the dryer occasionally will run for 90-120 minutes, and then we have to turn it off. to the point where the clothes are not only dry, but HOT. it seems the time sensor stops with about 7 minutes remaining and the dryer just keeps running. we're in a new house so venting is not a problem. is this a sensor issue? warranty? fixable? Thanks!!!!
Fixable and possibly a warranty claim. The timer is bad. You will need to get behind the control panel and remove the timer and replace the timer. First I would call whoever it is that yall bought the dryer through and see how long your warranty is. Most of the warranties are only 1 year. But if you bought a extended warranty then you are covered. The part can be found at repairclinic.com
