This mark appears on all faxes sent, and all confirmations, but does not show on reports printed. I have replaced both the toner and the drum.
When sending out faxes, they are being received as totally black.

Sending Confirmation This report shows the fax number, the number of pages, elapsed time of the operation, the communication mode, and the communication results. You can set up your machine to print the message confirmation report in one of the following ways (see page 5.3): • Automatically after each transmission (ON) • Automatically only if an error occurs during transmission (ERR) • No report printed at all (OFF). You can print this report manually at any time you want. SENDING CONFIRM - A confirmation report shows whether the transmission was successful or not, how many pages were sent, etc. Select ON to print a confirmation report automatically each time you send a fax. Select OFF to turn this feature off. Select ERROR to print only when an error occurs and the transmission was not successful.

3. Press Start/Enter when the desired report is displayed.

These reports show information concerning the transmission and
reception activities. They can be printed on command. Or if the
machine is set to do so, they will automatically print after every

Phonebook This report shows all of the numbers currently stored in the fax
machine’s memory as One-Touch Dial and Speed Dial.

On the top right of the machine select Reports In the center of the machine use the right arrow key till in the window it says #4 Transmission It will print you the information for the last fax that you sent.
Press the [Menu] button on the Control Panel until 'Reports' is displayed on the top line of the Display Screen.
Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until one of the following reports is displayed, and then press the [Enter] button to print the report.

Sent Fax Report
This report shows information on recently sent faxes.
System Data List
This list shows the status of the user-selectable options. This list can be printed to confirm any modifications to settings that have been modified.
Scheduled Job Information
This list shows the documents currently stored for Delayed faxes. The list shows the starting time of the Delayed fax.
This report shows the fax number, the number of pages, the elapsed time of the job, the communication mode, and the communication results. You can set up your machine to automatically print the message confirmation report after each fax job.
Junk Fax Number List
This list shows up to 10 fax numbers specified as the junk fax numbers by using the Junk Fax Setup menu. When the Junk Fax Barrier feature is turned on, incoming faxes from those numbers will be blocked. This feature recognizes the last 6 digits of the fax number set as a remote fax machine’s ID.
This report is automatically printed after sending documents from more than one location.
Power Failure Report
This report is automatically printed when power is restored after a power failure, if any data loss occurs due to the power failure.
Press MENU button, then 5 on the numbers keypad. you should be able to scroll through a list using the up and down buttons. #1 is the HELP LIST, #2 is AUTO DIAL, #3 is FAX ACTIVITY which shows LAST INCOMING AND OUTGOING faxes,#4 TRANSMISSION,prints a TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION REPORT of the last transmission. #5 USER SETTINGS lists your setting. You either have some white out or some other dirt on the scanner or some sections of the scanner are bad. Open the area where your originals feed into, and look for about a 1/2 inch wide strip of glass, that is the scanner window. When that gets dirty, or fails, that causes the problem. Most likley dirty, some whiteout or ink on the scan window.
Does your machine show anything on the confirmation report like fax number,duration, pages sent, etc. or is the image just not being printed. If you have properly programed machine to show image on the confirmation report. I don't see anything that will cause that except your origianls may not right side up/down.
