Question about HP Mini 1000 Netbook
The blue lights are on indicating the computer is functioning but the monitor just stays dead.
I understand your LCD display is not showing the display. To isolate the issue please perform these steps.
1) Perform power drain. Follow below steps for Power drain.
a) Shut down the Notebook and remove the battery completely from the Notebook.
b) Press and hold the Power button for 30-50 seconds.( This will discharge any static electricity in the picture tube)..
c) Connect the battery and switch on the Notebook.
If this step do not work follow the below ones.
2) Connect an external monitor to the Notebook. If there is a display then the problem is with the LCD screen, if your Notebook is under warranty then you can get it repaired by the HP with out any cost.
If there is no display on the external monitor then the problem is with the video display card, here also if your Notebook is under warranty HP repairs it with out any cost.
