I've had various problems with my k850i since I got it about 18 months ago, freezing, non responsive buttons etc. however, these normally resolve with a battery removal and restart. My latest issue however is that I can no longer access my Text Inbox, Outbox etc. and can neither receive or send Text messages. I get the error Operation Failed when trying to access any of these functions. Has anybody had this issue or know of a solution?

A month ago, it happened to my w960i phone too. I got it reprogrammed at a
local repair shop for only $10. The repair man says the problem is
brought about by over charging of batteries or by downloading of
certain apps which eat up a huge amount of the phone's 8GB internal
memory. So he advised me to be careful so it won't happen again. I hope
this helps. =)
I've had the same problem and had my K850i replaced twice. Apparently, according to Orange, there was a software bug on some of the earlier versions of the phone and this caused this failure....apparently. Orange tell me that this has been fixed now and my new replacement should work fine
