Question about Nintendo Wii Console
In the middle of play the screen goes blank and the wii makes a buzzing noise. It is not possible to switch the console off by the button on the front we pull the cable out of the back and it restarts immediately. This has happened twice in 2 days - so far!
Sounds like you may have an overheating issue. Make sure your system is well ventilated (have plenty of space on all sides). If you still have problems, try buying a cooling fan add-on for your system.
Also, when using component video cables and a WidescreenTV: Go into the Wii's system settings, under Screen, change TV Resolution to HDTV (480p) instead of Standard TV (480i) and change to Widescreen (16:9) under Widescreen Settings.
PS: In order to shut off the system when having problems, try holding the front power button for about 5 to 10 seconds.
