My crystal eye webcam optimized is working perfectly fine BUT it will not work particually on msn. whenever i try to start my webcam it says " we cannot start your camera device. Please check that your webcam is not being run by another program." I do check this but i haven't used it on any other programs! Also when other people on msn click on my webcam it says " camera device is not available please try after." And i always try afterwards but it always comes up with the same thing. Please can you help me! Thank you!

Unistall Windows Live Messenger Erase the installation folder and
this (XP): .\Documents and Settings\All Users\WLinstaller (or something
that begins with WL and sound like that) in Vista is in .\ProgramData\ REBOOT: REALLY IMPORTANT, I DID IT WITHOUT REBOOT AND DIDN'T WORK After reboot, reinstall. And everything's done.

Probebly U have installed MSN on computer make sure before U turn on webcam U completely stop msn. Remove MSN from taskbar too. Even though if U face a same problem than remove webcam software and install it agein and make sure when U install a software nothing else is running in parallel.
Adjust your browser security setting to allow webcams if you have flash micro media you will see the camra security but if you go to internet setting you can ajust the broswer setting from there .make sure that your firewall allow your webcam .then let me know how you did
your cam has to be setup on msn as well After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on Action. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting and follow the instructions.

I'm not sure if your problem is fixed yet or not, but I had this same problem when I updated to windows live 2009. But whenever I deleted it and got an older version of live it works just fine. So, I think it's msn and not the webcam..but i'm not positive about that. Mine just seemed to work after I got an older version.
