Question about Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 Notebook
I can't install XP in lenovo Y510 iwant remove vista
Okie! a question? i have installed windows Xp with Sp3 on my Y510. Now whenever I try switching back to AHCI mode i end up with a BSOD. would it make any difference if i leave it in the compatibility mode? or how can i get it back to AHCI mode

Please go into bios, and change your device boot order, and place your cd first. Sounds like your skipping by your install disk.

1. Power on and press F2 to enter in BIOS stetup Utility.
2. Choose “Advanced”, and change the “SATA Controller working mode” from “AHCI” to “Compatibility”.or (change SATA to IDE on settings)
3. Saved the change.
4. Restart and install XP Operating System.
