The dryer interior light comes on. The timer is set to dry, but when I push the start button, the dryer drum does not turn. You can hear the timer tick. There are 4 switches on the console. Timer, heat switch, buzzer and start button. I have also tried resetting the breaker, that made no difference. Any thoughts...

Make sure it has power. Then:Check the door switch.
A little lever sticking down through top right of door opening. If it is
not there you will need new door switch(sometimes the little lever
breaks off). If it is there and does not click when you press it in you
need a new door switch. if it clicks when you close the door
then you have a bad thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is found by taking
the back of the dryer off. The fuse is an oblong white plastic piece
with 2 wires attached.

Hi David
I understand how frustating it is to face this issue. However please check my answer below for both electric and gas dryer:
Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating:
- house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.
A ohm meter test for these parts is here.
Things that could stop a gas dryer from heating:
- glow bar igniter, thermal fuse ( not all models ), coils on the gas valve, gas valve, thermostats, motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, sensor.
A page for checking gas dryers is here.
Please do accept the solution and revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
