Video shooting went from color to b/white - how do I get it back?
All my video shooting on the Canon Powershot A700 has been in color up until now, all of a sudden it went to black & white. How do I get it back? I've gone through all the menus for all the different modes and can't seem to latch onto the right menu to change my B/W back to color.

Press the Function button and scroll down to middle (fourth) icon on the left side of the LCD, the My Color mode. Is it set for BW or C? Use the left/right arrow key to select OFF. Press Function again.

If you have the manual for this camera turn to page 15. This tells you how to switch between Shooting Mode and Playback Mode. This is achieved simply by pressing the DISP button. This button is located below and to the left of the FUNC/SET button. Pressing DISP repeatedly toggles between Shooting Mode and Playback Mode. I would suggest you try these steps with your Mode Switch in both positions alternately.
Press the FUNC/SET button. Use cursor-up/down to select the fourth item along the left edge of the screen. Use cursor-left/right to select "B/W". The instructions are in the "Shooting in a My Colors Mode" section of the manual (page 107 in my copy).
In general, you're better off shooting in color and converting to black&white using a photo editing program on a computer. You get much better control over things like brightness and contrast this way rather than letting the camera do it.

Yes, SDHC memory cards are compatible with the Canon Powershot A700, so that means you can use card with capacities over 2GB. You can also see the manual to verify this, Canon Powershot A700 Manual. On page 8, it says that SDHC memory cards are compatible.
